talked to the dude at the ebgames here, he said they expect to get shipments every week - shopments of 1 or 2 consoles at best. but they expect em so we'll see..

 

the thing is with all the preorder sales up on ebay before, they actually weren't guaranteed a PS3, my friend preordered a 60 from gamestop, they called him up a few days ago and told him they didnt have enough 60s and would offer a 20gb. another friend of mine ordered from ebgames, they just straight up told him his preorder was cancelled last night, and his number was pretty low too.

 

but they have pre-orders to fill first so they wont truley be available till god knows when!

 

what do you mean that they are hijacking auctions? if they ballon my PS3 sale to like 9 grand i wont mind

 

yea i know, with the amount they got today he said after the 2nd shipment, all preorders would have been taken care of...so after that, all it requires is calling everyday to see if they got a shipment

 

theyre all scammers tho, half those auctions will have to go back up cause the winning bidder isn't gonna deliver

I don't believe they will let you "buy it now" I think it has to be by auction. Ebay rules. Thats what I heard anyways.

I hope the PS3 online play is integrated nicely like xbox live.

 

whether you had it in your possesion at the time of the listing or not, scammers are targeting ANYONE on eBay that is trying to make a profit off the PS3.

People are simply fed up with people like you that are buying shyt up just to make a profit during a time when it should have been the gift of giving. These were released during the xmas sale so that people could buy them as xmas gifts.

If you were a parent and your kid was good all year, and you wanted to reward him with the one thing that he's wanted all year and was looking foward to and couldn't because people like this, how would you feel? I'd teach my kid better and not spoil them, but if you want to give the kid a present for xmas and can't brighten up that one day for them the way you wanted to, I'd be pretty pissed.

 

I'm pissed, cause I signed up with Costco's emailing notice list... and I never got anything from them... probably got filtered out to "spam mail"

If the guy did get pushed, the least walmart could do is NOT sell the PS3 to the guy that pushed him and instead give it to the injured guy!

The fact that the guy contacted a lawyer is admitting guilt considering it was caught on tape although hard to see. All for a toy.

Stupid companies should have just made everything pre-order/lottery driven. either way they are making their money and they avoid this stupid shit.

That was only for the people selling pre-purchases. They had other rules you had to follow as well (feedback over 50, photo of receipt showing pre-order, etc).

If you have the merchandise in hand, you can do a Buy It Now...

Unfortunately, Sony has basically told you "tough sh!t, get a new TV." The PS3 will not upconvert a 720p title to 1080i, it switches the game to 480i mode if your set can't support 720p.

BTW - I just read that the online store doesn't have background downloading. Didn't 360 owners pitch a bitch about this until MS changed it? You would think Sony would have leared from that.
