oops, my bad. I didn't use the FX or the Rover for the truck races - I used a Ford Lightning SVT - modded to hell, the thing handles like a sports car ... it almost handles too well...

I haven't driven the Delta so I don't know.

Once you have driven in bumpercam view for a while, you know where the sides of the car are and taking the turns becomes second nature.

Im about to throw my goddamn tv thru the window. My B spec driver is tailgating the slow ass cars and not making a move even though i have it on overtake, and when hes on overtake he goes in the grass

 

Damn dude, don't do it... When I was starting out I couldn't leave overtake on all the time - sometimes if you have it on and your driver isn't overtaking, toggle it off and then back on, he should overtake. Try that out and see if it helps. Also there are certain sections of each track where the driver is less likely to overtake.

Also, on certain tracks, the driver totally messes up at certain points (including the AI cars) - seems like a bug in the game - kinda lame. Kinda funny too, for instance the 2nd to last turn at Laguna Seca... I A/Bspec'd an endurance race there, the AI would almost ALWAYS wipe out at the 2nd to last turn, it was kinda funny.

 

The more B-Spec points you accumulate, the better your driver gets though.

when you pit, there is an option to change the mode. It's really quite fantastic, I wonder how they implemented that. It's remarkable.

 

I think for the race you are talking about, I used a fully modded Honda Beat (available in used cars) and wiped the floor with the competition, or however that saying goes...

I have gold in all beginner and pro events....yet it still is saying i havent, (i want to race in the GT world championship)

are the American, European and Japanese events considered beginner?

 

Did you enter the SERIES race? I believe it is the first icon in the race, where it has a trophy above it. Make sure that ALL the spots where a trophy could be, are filled. The first one at the left is what you need to complete each event. Hope that makes sense.

How many B-Spec pts you have right now? Anything under 7000 just doesn't cut it.

If you've done all the races individually and it still says you must complete all beginner and pro events, then, I think yes, you have to enter each championship series and win it that way - that gives you the extra trophy that you seem to be missing. I don't know for sure because I did it straight through with the championships.. If that is the case for you, then that kinda sucks I suppose. But if you are telling me that you have completed ALL the races and it's still not letting you complete, then I think that is what is going on...

You need to train your buddy very hard from now on.

Give it a decent car, let it fight through the traffic(that means don't do the qualification in chamionship series), and race in different car/track combos everytime.

 

FUCKING RALLY. I waste $23k on dirt tires (Why the fuck don't rally cars come with these) on the Lancia Delta S4 which is like 450hp and get owned. The fucking 5 second rule can suck my hairy ass dick. Why do I get penalized if they hit me. God I hate that shit. So I'm getting my % up by killing the WRX and RX7 and RX8 races. I'm at 21% now so I should be on lap 46 of Capitan by Saturday. Once again.

I had an easier time with the WRX STI Rally 300hp car than the Lancia or the Raid. I guess I can't handle the power. That RS200 is a tricky mf. The Lancer 4 was cake.

 

Driving missions are a great place to develope your skills!!

by bumper cam i mean the one on the front bumper where you cant see the car at all just all track, everyone else i know uses the whole car from behind cam and say they cant tell what the car is doing, i figure if the front goes the correct way the rear will follow.

Guys, I need some help. I bought the Sony brand component video cables with the sole purpose of playing GT4 in 1080i. When I go into the game settings and change the display setting my screen just flickers and I'm forced to go back to the normal setting. I've got a 55" Phillips HDTV and I'm plugging the cables into my open CVI inputs. I've also tried the inputs that my HD cable box is plugged into to no avail.

I've checked the PS2 and TV settings as well and can't seem to get it working. Any ideas?

 

^^^^ I'll let one of the HD guys chime in on that... I haven't tried it myself so I don't know. I have read about certain TVs not liking the PS2 "HD" mode and not working with it...

should try the 480progessive mode. o and enable the component cables by going to the ps2's config and enable the component cable

 

If you can get into the game screen that means your PS2 and component cable are just working fine. It must be your TV's problem if you have nothing but flickers.

 

480p flickers as well. I guess it's the TV. Maybe I'll take my PS2 over to my buddy's place tonight and try on his to verify.
