Played last night for the first time in more than a week.
Only did the weekly and daily on 28.

New legendary chest and legendary helmet so I can toss the Queens pieces. Still only lvl 27 but with alien and a little skyrim. Plus modor and farcry releasing soon. This game will take a seat for a while.

Tried a raid with some randoms. Got to the last stage then people started rage quitting.
my buddy beat it the next night with randoms and didn't win any armor. Pissed me off more than him. Hahaha

 

lol i haven't touched the game since ive been on traveling. probably will go on late tonite.

 

Anyone planning on buying the new content?

 

I definitely will because my friends are. This game is boring as hell to me without the enthusiasm of friends.

 

I have 2 friends that play but don't know anyone else on the One so can't really do any raids unless I find some buddies. Not sure I'll buy the upgrade.

I suppose I could quit being anti social huh....

Got both expansions when I got the Digital Guardian edition already.

Evolve Big Alpha is dominating my time for the next few days though. So good!

 

Playing the game a bit more recently. Spent lil more than half my strange coins on Patience and Time or whatever. I really wanted to whole invisible perk but now knowing about that red glimmer you still give off I am kind of upset. Not really invisible but oh well it'll be one week before I can mark another purchase with Xur.

I'm sure nothing new and worth while will come from him until the DLC update.
Though I am loving my SunBreaker gauntlets since they prolong my solar nades. IceBreaker is awesome as well so I'll probably give Patience and Time to my second warlock if I ever get them to level.

Played the Vault a couple times. I like it. Only issue I have playing with others is them bringing in their Level 25 friends. Once you have two level 25s it can be so difficult since they can't really hold their own yet against those level 28s. I am only 27 so they are difficult but I dont get one shotted like they do.

So I would support match making as long as it was able to only allow in one 25 or make it a mandatory 26 and try to step up no more than three level 26s in with a team of higher levels.
Or for every level 26 there is a 29 or 30. So two 26, a 30, a 29, and two 27s set to normal could work it if they know what is going on.

Im holding off on picking up Far Cry until this pay check. No real reason, just an excuse to play more destiny while I have the free time.

Last night finished my 3rd raid on Normal. Not tried hard yet still.
Hit 29 last night finally. 1 Exotic, 1 Raid, the rest legendary.
The raid got me my 2nd raid boots, 2nd Truth, and 3rd chatterwhite. As well some energy and shards. And the real winner for me, Corrective Measure, the MG ive been wanting aside from any new weapon with arc.

Nightfall got me 9 energy. Awesome.

So my current standings are:
Level 29
Vanguard Legendary Helmet and Chest(1 upgrade left).
Exotic Sunbreaker Gauntlets.
Raid boots(1 upgrade left).

Set up 1:
Atheon's Epilogue Auto (legendary void)
IceBreaker Sniper (exotic solar)
Corrective Measure Mach.Gun (legendary void)

Set up 2: for when I need arc
Visions of Con. Scout (legendary solar)
Time&Patience Sniper (exotic arc)
Corrective Measure Mach.Gun (legendary void)

Set up 3: for bosses that need rockets
Atheon's Epilogue Auto (legendary void)
Judgement VI Shotty (legendary solar)
Gjallarhorn Rockets (exotic solar)

Only IceBreaker is fully upgraded, nest closes is Atheon so those are my main guns. Once I get Time and Patience as well as Visions upgraded then Set Up 2 will become my main combo leaving IceBreaker when Im stuck behind cover.


Now a member of New Monarchy. Put leveling that on hold for the Iron Banner. I really want that Silver/Gold shader at rank 2. Then I'll focus on the Monarchy again.


Really really want to find the Warlock exotic chest Heart of the Praxic Fire. Increases my already nutty grenade output during radiance. Once I make that swap I'll feel better switching to Fusion Grenades. Ive been using Solar ever since leveling up the SunBreaker gauntlets.

I absolutely love all the Dark Souls references with SunSinger. Especially the Praise the Sun reference on the Praxic Fire chest.

 

I still play regularly. I actually play a bit more now that I found some coworkers that plays as well.

Just casually playing Crucible with friends and helping friends reach 30 and get their Mythoclast as I've pretty much done everything there is to do in Destiny and just waiting for the expansion.

Got all 3 classes to max, weapons and armor to max, complete/sherpa 30min raids weekly, still only need 1 raid weapon to say that I have every item dropped from the Vault of Glass.

I carry my team too lol. One week they decided to do it without me and couldn't even get past the Oracles after 4 hours.

I can kill Atheon in under 5 minutes now

I finally know what you mean by you will hate your team mates after the raid. Im sure you don't anymore since you can probably near solo the vault at 30.

I'm at 29 right now with just one extra upgrade over. Only raid boots and exotic gauntlets. My buddy is the same level and is no better than I but was completely bashing on these strangers we had helping us whom I have played with many times and know they are just as good or better than the two of us. Both of them are high 29 and I am low 29 with one upgrade over my buddy.

I got pretty annoyed with my friend for his shit talking because I knew we just weren't meshing as a team and it wasn't their fault. Frankly, they told him to fuck of, he left, we then literally beat it with 5 people within the next 30 minutes.

It is crazy how much a level makes a difference at 28, 29, and 30. Going from being one shoted by goblins to wrecking 4 at once with just one level.

29 seems like a good level where Normal is very manageable and hard is well, hard. Whenever we get 30s in the room they act like they know more and if we die twice on atheon they rage quite saying we suck. lol That level 30 stigma.

I'm positive we can carry you at level 24 on Normal Raid. Just let me know. We usually Raid early on after the reset (every Tuesday).

Yeah man. I looked at the party and I couldn't just abandoned my homie with 5 in the party. I'll be home late tonite my time so I might be able to play later.

 

Well, I ended up getting a good crew together and we made a clan with just the 6 of us. Pretty great to have a group of people that can consistently do the raid, crucible, and other messing around without getting pissed off at each other. The clan I left got super mad at me for bailing on them though

 

Ahhh I can't tonight. Watching Interstellar with my wife. Plus all my buddies did the Raid so they have very little motivation to run it through. I'll see if I can gather them up just for one quick normal run some time after tomorrow. We can do it in less than 45 minutes.

At this point I prefer playing with those two guys I randomly met over my two buddies I personally know. One because he did a lot of shit talking to those guys and now they dont care for him, and the other just never plays so hes only level 26.

But that means my party is only ever really 3 players. Good for nightfalls but we need more for raids. We can always find strangers but its hit or miss if we will mesh well as a team or not.

If anyone needs people to do the raid on XBOX One hit me up. GT: Las Vegas SWAT We usually have quite a few people to do the raid with. Right now I got 2 level 30's and a 29.

Its all good. Just throwing it out there for the people who do. I got a co worker on PS4 who needs people to raid with.

 

I really dislike the ranking system. I'm fine with the raid grinding to hit 30 before the update and I'm fine with the new armor and level cap.

What I find annoying is having to rank a brand new faction with every event. I don't play enough to rank up in events. I can play 10 minutes daily to get the dailies and weeklies done. I can save strange coins motes of light and grind raids.

But these events seem like you need to play a lit more to raise the slow moving rank meter.
Since I started on new monarchy I have yet to even reach rank 3. I am only rank 2 in crucible and finally rank 3 in vanguard yet they want me to reach rank 4 in iron banner or even this dlc. No way. I border line don't even care to try.

 

I never bothered with the team deathmatch type events since I never really do crucible matches. My Vanguard ranks up fairly quick just from doing bounties, and the weekly nightfalls, daily, weekly.

Well my vanguard is 3 so I put on a new monarchy piece to level that up.
I do every nightfall every weekly and every daily. I always have bounty slots full. Maybe turn in one bounty a day. Never finish crucible ones but I'll do most vanguard bounties each week. It's just so slow at that rate. Queens I never hit 2 and iron banner never hit 2. Crucible I'm still only 2. -_-
