So SP campaign on BF3 is not worth purchasing the game for? I'm enjoying Rage now so I'm in no rush to get BF and might just wait for MW3.

FWIW, I loved BC2 much more than any MW SP campaign.

haha the mortar is so ridiculous. I just sit back on rush while attacking, and hit their spawn. easy 7-1, 10-1, etc. games

 

gawd damn so hard to level up the jets... I mean shit I gotta shot shit with guns only for now....

 

Yeah, I've leveled up everything at a stead rate.... except for jets.

It's just hard to kill anything with those main guns. The three different people locking on to you at once doesn't help either.

If you guys need help practicing flying try searching for "flight" on the server list. There are a lot of flight school servers up. A good server just to practice combat is "The beaver lodge". They usually only have about 6 people on at one time.

 

You know, the single player seems like "been there, done that," but the thing that really stands out to me is the voice acting. Something about it just sounds really natural and good, where most games come off as forced and scripted

 

Yeah, the voice acting is rather good. Their faces look very realistic as well. Some of their reactions are a little off though, it's like they don't move their eyebrows enough or something.

 

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. I got the game yesterday morning and have been playing non stop since then. I quit out of multiplayer to finish the campaign and when I click the HD to load.... it says theres corrupt data... oookay. I check on multiplayer and all my progress is gone , I unlocked so much and its all gone...

 

lol I got called a "noob soab" cause this person was in a chopper and I shot em down w/ a stinger....

 

sucks, but if you only got the game yesterday you couldn't have possibly unlocked that much stuff...

I got in the russian scout chopper and after killing a few guys, got headshotted by some lucky prick with an M249. Well, the chopper just gracefully settled down to the ground, and I watched the guy who killed me get in on my screen. SO, I broke out the stinger and of course he came to my base. Hit it once, disabled it, watched him crash and die

 

Well I played for 9 hours straight yesterday and about 11 today lol.

yea i freaking played all day.. didnt get anything done that i wanted to.. oh well.

I think I just unlocked level 15. Conquest on Operation Metro is amazing, storming the subway with 12 other guys is crazy. The sound in this game is absolutely incredible, I feel like Im playing Heat :p

 

Yeah, the only vehicle I have problems with is the dang plane. I can't hit anything properly with the guns so I pretty much just forsake it lol.

My choppers and tanks are insanely awesome. Only thing that sucks is when I get in a chopper and someone else is piloting it......horribly.

I love the directional sound......except the few random times when the sound glitches out and I suddenly think I'm deaf because I can't hear anything but silence.

 

Yea I only got guns for my choppers, can't wait for the hellfire missiles

Man yesterday there was a level 35 guy. He had an blackbird helicopter on the norshar(?) canals.

Freaking had heat seekers, anti tank missiles and a flares on his chopper. Anyways everytime I would shoot him with a stinger, he'd switch from being the pilot to another seat and repair his helicopter mid flight and then switch back to being a pilot

 

ROFL that is some badassness right there, being able to concentrate that way.

Hmm.... that gives me a good tactic for the future. Only problem with that is some random noob will prob spawn into your driver seat while you are repairing and then crash you both

My choppers have heat seekers. They are great, but suck when jets come and kill you off cause you are stationary trying to lock on.

 

you can choose to spawn into a heli?

 

and in a jet, or tank, or IFV.

Just like a regular spawn point in the spawn screen. You have to be quick about it though, because people will all try to click it as soon as it shows up.

 

how are the graphics on PS3? I can assume better than the beta? if so, how much better?

Definitely better looking, but not as good looking as the game play videos.

Anyways yes you can spawn into jets and helicopters (if they are landed and unused). You can spawn into active helicopters, tanks and Armoured cars if you're in a squad and someone in your squad is in that vehicle.
If you're in a vehicle others in your squad can spawn in the same vehicle if there is room.
So if you're not in a squad you dont have to worry about others hijacking your vehicle.

Honestly srika I never see you play team death match or domination in any of the COD games just FFA, so I don't really see this game as your type

 

but who plays without squadmates? That's some loneliness right there.

 

I think I'm going to give up using squad respawn in urban maps, probably about 60% of my deaths in Metro or Grand Bazaar are from spawning into a rocket or hail of bullets. I've spawned in the middle of burst of machine gun bullets and was dead before I could even move .

And somehow my guns came back today... they were totally gone yesterday but now it works?

 

I played a couple of hours at a buddy's house on his laptop and we both had a lot of issues, mostly connection/server related. His internet is stupid fast even with 2-3 computers on the network, but we kept getting disconnected while attempting to join servers. Maybe cause he kept joining servers that were almost full......

Had zero issues in co-op. Fun but frustrating overall, I have to get out of the whole lone wolf mentality that COD encourages sometimes. And yeah, spawning near teammates = suicide... a couple of times I've died before I even saw the gun appear in my soldier's hands it seems. The graphics look amazing, the maps are huge and amazingly detailed. Installing on my computer now

nobody wants to play shitty non-hardcore with teh noobz and get shot b/c you have a orange/red beacon on top of your head everywhere you go.

took me 20 minutes to get my squad into a hardcore concquest match.

 

There are issues with connectivity if you dont have punkbuster updated.

I got several kicked by admin messages when playing on a few servers due to this problem as well.

on another note, i still get BF3 crashes on initial launch. I try joining again and it starts. Game's still pretty buggy but it's fun I guess.
