360, PS3, PC: Battlefield 3
I've looked everywhere, it's even been posted on the forums. There's no way to customize your loadout unless you're actually in a game, playing on a map. People were asking for a fix, they still haven't delivered.
And the console versions are ports?

I'm still loving this game. Every time I play I feel I get a little bit better or learn a better tactic. I just wish I had more time to play it.
^^holy crap. I'd probably shit myself if I saw a helicopter flying around in that tunnel
that's scary as hell from a regular infantry perspective.
Same here. I wish more people who played support would pay attention though.... sometimes I run out of ammo and I request it multiple times but they just don't hear it. I mainly play assault and try to revive or throw down a medpack whenever I can.
About the spawns though, sometimes I see a squadmate firing at someone... figure it's not safe to spawn there. I pay attention before I spawn. But sometimes I'll spawn at a capture point and get instantly shelled by a tank

Ive been in a tank and seen people trying that. Easy one hit kill and the satisfaction of shooting down a chopper with a tank

I did that last night on PS3, freaking hard as hell. I got shot up by a hummer cause I panicked trying to get out of the tunnel at the other side and got stuck.
Operation Metro = noob tube fest
So many idiots (my friend included) just sit back and hammer whatever position the enemies are at with the M320. I was sitting back as support for once dropping ammo boxes all over the place but got tired of it.
They need to up the bonus for winning a game and/or give a bonus for pushing forward or something. I swear in that L-shaped staircase in the subway area there's always at least 6-8 guys crowded in that little area.
still a fun map though. I also like Seine Crossing a lot. As much as I hate it I think I'll get the map pack... I need variety. Should have pre-ordered the limited edition
TBH I didn't think I was going to like the game as much as I did.

I'm getting so good with the helicopters
I'm almost at guided rockets.
I learned there aren't anything like hellfire missles
anyways pretty awesome taking out jets and infantry w/ the helicopter. Tanks I can't seem to kill cause I keep missing w/ my rockets, usually I just disable them.

I just got into the whole team player thing and then I see only 1 or 2 people push forward with me
You guys have tips for flying helicopters and jets? I tried watching youtube videos and joining one of those flying practice servers, but I'm terrible at it. The first time I got in a chopper, I went up, backwards, then crashed and died
I'm officially addicted to this game now. Also, every knife execution is so rewarding. And it feels awful when you get knifed.

I hate getting knifed. You pretty much have to just not be paying attention to get knifed, it really makes you feel like an idiot haha.
Really for flying the best thing you can do is practice. I used to be horrible at it, but now I'm decent. I think using the arrow keys is a lot easier than the mouse. The major thing that helped me with the jet is figuring out there is a "slow down" button. I would always just zoom by my target before.
Things I do when I fly a jet:
1. Hit "c" to go into third person view
2. Take off (obviously)
3. While holding "w" (slow down button), turn to face the battlefield
4. Scan the battlefield for targets
5. Once a target has been found, switch back into first person and commence shooting.
6. Pray no one locks on to you

Thanks, that really helped. I got a lot better after I forced myself to practice on one of those flying training servers. Kinda took a while for me to adjust, crashed a few times and got shot down but I kept at it. Third person helps a LOT for tracking targets. Still need practice with the gatling gun but I unlocked heat seekers after I got the hang of it and it was easier to shoot people down after that. Slowing down was major as well, it's obvious but I would always zoom by other jets too or couldn't make the same sharp turns. I even managed to lose a few lock-ons from a mobile AA, but hey progress is progress
next, helicopters... ugh. Also, they're useless for unlocking scopes and accessories but pistol/knife only servers are really fun.

Also giving up on sniping as well, unless they have some sort of sniping practice server too. I know you can reference distance with conquest cap locations but I'm terrible at gauging distance if some sniper is out in the hills. I still don't get how people can headshot me from across the map on Kharg Island while I'm sprinting perpendicular to where they're facing

I have the same problem. Last night there was a guy just laying down not moving. Me, with my super sniper skillz, aimed slightly above his head to account for bullet drop. FIRE!! ...miss.
I thought to my self "okay maybe not high enough, I'll just aim a smidge higher".
FIRE!! ...miss.
Okay, okay, too higher, I'll just shoot directly at him.
FIRE!!! ...miss.
Okay, this is starting to piss me off, I'm just gonna bullet spam everywhere.
FIRE! FIRE! FIRE! FIRE! FIRE! FIRE! FIRE! FIRE! FIRE! .....miss.
I eventually just gave up and ran around with my pistol.

That's one reason why I prefer Battlefield more than Modern Warfare. There is always some skill set to improve upon in BF, as there are so many combat options. In MW (or most FPS in general), as soon as I got good at a specific skill I got bored. BF really encourages you to try new tactics. I love a good run-and-gun, but it gets old quicker.
^same here. If you get bored of running around with a gun you can always hop in a vehicle. Or try and blow up said vehicles. Or do it from the sky, with a helicopter or a jet.
Or join one of those aforementioned pistol matches

I kinda wish I was there for the beta now. I saw people throwing C4 onto MAVs and EOD bots.
