360, PS3, PC: Battlefield 3
Was this a prequel? Sequel? Does it even tie in any way to the two previous games?
I'm not all sold on the story, but the graphics on the game are amazing.
I did beat the campaign around 3am this morning, multiplayer tonight!!!

Nothing special there are no characters that stand out like Ghost from COD or Rabbit from MOH, then again you havent played campaign in ages so you might not know those characters anyways!!!
BF3's Campaign was engineered more to be a tutorial for multiplayer. Does it job, lets you see the beauty of the game that you won't take the time to sightsee when you're being shot at in multiplayer.
BF2 didnt have a single player campaign, so I dont know what kind of expectations you had for BF3's single player.
Amazon had it for PC digital download for $41.99. Not too far off your 40 dollar limit..and you get a SP campaign as a bonus!
expectations as in providing a large 64 player map with land, water, and air vehicles? I think it sure did meet expectations.

I dont consider playing with bots on multiplayer maps a "campaign". More like practice. A fact that's evidenced by the lack of credits at the end of your alleged single player campaign.

Go play MP and then talk.
MP is good, but forgettable. That is my final verdict.

i really dont like the level up to earn items.
id rather earn a currency and buy my own weapons and customization.
i dont know i too feel the same with this moose muscles guy.

Finished the campaign last night it was ok. Graphics were great though I though.
Multiple isn't bad but definitely don't like having to level up to get items. Since they were going after COD they should have went with the currency system like Miz said. COD got rid of it and BF3 should have as well.
I doubt I will play it much after MW3 comes out.

I dont know about you guys, but the MP squad and match joining with your friends is just as bad as it was in the beta. Completely broken. I spend 2-4 minutes just switching squads/teams until my friend is in my squad. What is the point of joining up with your friends prior to the game only to get separated when you join? /rant

Also maybe I am missing something but once I am in a game how do I get back to change to a different game type? Pressing B seems like it would be a logical choice but it doesn't. Do I have to wait till I am in the next round and select quit is that really the only way?

^^ it was like this in past games...
i just alwas remember having to wait till the match in in session to quit or change loadout... i can see if it was a new development.. but thats just battlefield.
i find that it keeps people from randomly quitting as much... i mean you're able to quit only as soon as you're playing again.. most people end up sticking around for the end of that match.

From Gamespot review
"Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Review
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 boasts a fast-paced and thrilling campaign, as well as some of the most immersive and exciting multiplayer action ever seen on consoles.
The Video Review
Chris Watters leaves a path of destruction in this video review for Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
Watch ItWatch HD 720p
The Good
Destructibility is strategically powerful and immensely fun Electrifying and addictive online multiplayer Great campaign with witty characters Beautiful, well-designed environments Superb sound design.
The sizable campaign takes you to beautiful and exotic locations where you'll be sorely tempted to take a break from shooting bad guys and blowing things up to admire the scenery. Fans of cooperative campaign play may miss the opportunity to play with a friend, but your hilarious and endearing squadmates more than make up for it, giving the campaign a rich sense of character not often found in the genre. The result is a very entertaining adventure that, coupled with the excellent multiplayer and top-notch technical presentation, makes Battlefield: Bad Company 2 something special in the world of shooters.
The campaign is a focused, largely linear adventure that takes you to a variety of gorgeous locations."
See that's the problem now a days people rely too much on reviews, either get it or don't play it, honestly I was impressed by the graphics but it seems too me the multiplayer is exactly like Bad company 2 requiring levels and what not to unlock stuff, not really a fan of that. They should have made a 4-8 player co op experience with you having to shoot your way out of a city or doing a convoy or something of that nature then I would have loved the game even more, but right now it seems somewhat of a prettier bad company 2 to me.
I guess we all weren't on the same page...
Did you like BF:BC2? If so, open it. If you are expecting this to be just like BF2 with better graphics, you may be best off just returning it.
My bad, it's my fault for trying to post between surgeries. I wasn't on the same page as y'all, only with Spci816.
