MAV flying is hilarious... but it wasted a lot of time i could have been helping the team, once was enough for me.

 

Yea i was so excited to get the MAV cause of those roadkill videos. Too bad it's tough to do, always end up destroying the thing.

Haven't played much lately cause of school (still like lvl 8 :/) What is your guys name on BF3 PC?

 

Been playing the new maps really enjoy them . But have been noticing everyone's like prestige 5 and even saw a couple 10's..??? WTF I play a good couple hours every day I get home from work and I'm like level 24. How the fuck are they prestige 10?! LOL .. Must not work....

How many hours have you guys logged? I'm almost at 80 hours

 

82 hrs for me. Has anyone got kills with the mav? I just unlocked it and have been trying to ram down into people with it but doesent seem to work very well? Is there a trick ?

 

No I'm just confused on the prestige part, wasn't aware this game had it. It's not call of duty.

All I know is that you can rank up to level 45 (colonel)
After that you get a service star for each rank after that up to a limit of 100.

 

But you're onLy level 24? Are you even Shooting anything?

At 45 you get a silver eagle. Then As you earn more service stars you fill up the eagle with gold. Up to a fully gold eagle at rank 145

and the f35 is garbage!!! it needs to be able to hover higher and be able to turn sharper

 

The f-35 can hover pretty high.

I'm not sure how the f-35 hover works, when you first get in and take off vertically you can hover pretty high by pressing And holding the "decelerate" button. But as soon as you fly normally and try to hover again i just seem to gradually sink to the ground... If that makes any sense...

A few times I was flying then decided to hover and then just ended up floating down into the ocean

Yeah I'm not sure how it works either. Also, the thing can barely turn at all. Hovering is pretty cool, but I rather have better mobility.

 

Hmm I've made it turn like crazy, you just gotta decelerate so it starts to hover while making your turn, ive had a guy fly right past me when i did this once.

Although you do risk getting shot at.

haven't played BF2 in years so I don't remember....

 

There is a noticeable difference in how sharply the F-35 can turn compared to the other jets. Kind of a disadvantage. But it is also by far the fastest jet so typically I have been able to out-run a missile lock in combination with IR flares.

 

I can't say I care for a lot of these maps so far. A lot of them (I forgot their names so I can't specify which ones) feel way too cramped. The lighting can get annoying as well. There is a certain map where when you are in the AA you can barely see anything as the clouds are super white and somehow overpower both your reticule and the jets overhead.

Maybe I just need more time with them (or a better server, the one I was on seemed slow haha).

 

Actually haven't played in a while but the patch didn't fix it... the sun is the most OP thing in the game. Can't destroy it or hide from it. If someone is on higher ground whether it's a chopper or a soldier and they happen to be right between you and the sun.... good luck.

They just need to tone it down a tenth or two
