Not much in terms of power, and headlights are , but an interesting shape. With that rounded rear-end (D-pillar), almost looks closer to a hatch-back than a genuine wagon.
:shame:
I only recall the C240 being offered here as a wagon on the W203.
I don't mind the look, but was always put off by the lack of a peppier option. Shame we never got the C32 AMG Wagon.
But more importantly, this is a polestar or Volvo thread now, please pay attention!
Here's a CUV before "CUV"s were even a thing.
I remember examples of these sitting on the lot of the AMC/Jeep/Renault dealer near our house when I was a kid. Right next to the USDM Renault 5, aka the Renault "Le Car." Good lord, bringing the Renault 5 to the US was a real disaster.
And who could forget AMC's distinctive door handles?? Found on this and the Pacer.
I think everyone with a T8 Polestar wagon is seeing the big $$$ they are pulling and tossing them up for sale. I've seen more of these cross the block lately than ever before.
I had a Polestar 2 as a rental, and also owned an XC90. Functional and sturdy. But the interiors, yeah, a bit on the meh side. I don't know how Audi does it every year, but they just hit it out of the park.
As I have mentioned previously, my neighbor-friend's dad drove us to elementary school every day in their manual transmission 122S Amazon wagon from 3rd-5th grades. It was black with a black interior.
I'll never forget that long-stalk shifter, those lap-belts (metal-on-metal "click") and perforated seats, and my friend's dad pulling the choke before firing her up. Oh, and the fact that we could see our breaths on those cold mornings!!

Alright mr money being driven to school in a car…
Jk, that’s a pretty cool memory. My school career, I mostly walked, or they sent the School bus Sport, short wheelbase edition to pick me up. Probably that’s why I’m into sport cars now. Actually, for a bit, It wasn’t even a bus, it was a station wagon ( Pontiac Parisienne or Buick Lesabre wagon I believe), but it was painted yellow with a school sign on the roof. After 7th grade I took public transit.
anyways, I’m off topic again, but I see one of those Volvos near me pretty often (not a wagon though), really cool looking.
This V90R just got posted in the Vancouver FB Marketplace for $9000. It has some mods but it also has 285,000 MILES (not kilometres). The seller states at the end something like "if you're 'handy' this is the car for you..."
The road clearance and wheel arch gap is pretty ugly to me. Also the profile and rear quarter view isn’t flattering, the rest I’d be happy with.
about the diesel, this car gives me the fun car vibes, so I’d rather a gasoline small displacement engine to have fun with. On a comfy cruiser like I had in the 5series touring or a5 avant diesel was fantastic.
Wiki says the Crosswagon is like an Outback, a lifted version of the 156 wagon.
They also had a Q4 Sportwagon, which is also raised a bit, but less than the Croswagon, also only available with the 150hp diesel.
Looks like there was a GTA version of the Sportwagon too, but FWD. That Busso V6 is a pretty engine, though.
Sportwagon looks a bit better on the phone dial wheels
And, since we're on Alfa wagons, the successor 159 made for a nice looking wagon as well
Guy over on the Locost & MG forums did a Volvo & i think swapped in a Sky Red Line or SS Cobalt drivetrain, IIRC. Sold on BaT for >$100k, 7 years later
There are rules to owning a French car: You must be French and live in France. If you break these rules your car will see the road 10 days out of the year.
