Was behind an [I assume] prior gen A4 Allroad yesterday. Still a good looking Avant.

Yeah, right? It is an A6 Avant, with 335 HP. But the lifted thing with the plastic cladding on the wheel well, not for me. I guess they think I could swing for a car @$75K, but not for $110K.Originally Posted by Yumcha

Have you sat in the new gen A6/A7...? If not, worth it when the house-arrest thing lifts a bit. They are niiiiice.

Lifted ride-height and plastic cladding. Can't do it.

I'm scared to go to the Audi show room. They would make me an offer on my Volvo, and I'd be smiling for about 10 seconds of that handjob. Then realize I am paying a mortgage, rent and tuition for a kid in college, and helping my daughter though this economic disaster that is COVID-19. And I know Audi's are an ergonomic orgasm. Everything you touch is magic on the inside, and beautiful on the outside.Originally Posted by Yumcha

Did I just describe a car or the weather girl I see on TV?

Yeahhh...for me, the Audi S5 had me at herro. I walked in casually as I was just curious on the Avant as an option to go against what I had for sure thought would be a Volvo wagon or even Merc.
Sitting the Audi changed everything. And they didn't even fire up the car.

and it's basically a prerequisite at this point to have any and all Polestar models look freaking amazing.

I see a black Volvo wagon at the grocery store near me pretty often, that little blue square stands out. Need to get a closer look next time I see it.

I've always love those. When I was in middle school, there was a guy in my neighborhood with a yellow one. I was in love with it.

Almost got one brand new back in 2003 .... but ended up opting for a Subie Outback instead .... Still regret that decision to this day.Originally Posted by 00TL-P3.2

Toyota trying WAY. TOO. HARD.
But here's another Mazda wagon that made it to N. America back in the "aughties" (2006-07).... although (sadly) not in a MPS/Mazdaspeed variant ....
(Don't think the current "GL" version of the Mazda6/Atenza wagon is available here, is it?)

I didn't like that as much as the Protege for some reason. Originally Posted by nanxun

I like that Skyline nose/front fascia .... but once you said it was based on an Accord wagon, that's all I could see from the A-pillar back .... and it ruined it for me ....

Even though not a Mazdaspeed, these were deceptively quick (as were most V6 family haulers IMO). I test drove a couple of them - the Bose audio and leather seating impressed me.Originally Posted by nanxun
