I wanna praise VW's design team for the integration of the polished grille piece with the headlight design. I think all their new models have it and it is simple but very distinctive. Big fan.
There was a Volvo shitbox wagon that came out to the Auto-X I frequented in college, not sure that Volvo could move in a straight line, guy would drift almost the whole course. Looked more like a Lemons racer than an Auto-X car.
Caro welcomed the challenge of building a 560 TEL estate (the ‘T’ came from the ‘T-Modell’ designation for Mercedes wagons) and executed the conversion using Mercedes-Benz factory standards and parts. So a few things:
1. The writing on the windshield loosely says, "I like myself, I don't like". Ok, from an Engrish standpoint.
2. Tokyo plate. Nothing strange.
3. The green sticker on the bottom left side of the windshield - German emissions sticker. #4 and green, means it passes German emissions and has (or had I'm sure) a catalytic converter.
4. And why the goofy wing thing in the rear.
Love that color red for a car. Similar to the Mazda red that is now popular (Soul Red I think).
