Yep. 6MT. What SUV has a 6MT? Now it's down to two: Ford Bronco and a Jeep.
soooooo, for off-road / suv, I don’t get the manual benefits. At times you need your left foot on the brake and right foot rolling on the throttle while you gently rolling off the brake to try and make forward movement over an obstacle while not rolling backwards down a hill. I suppose my actual problem is the clutch / 3 pedal part, not the manual portion of if, but with cars, those 2 come together.
In college when I went off road with my jeep, some other folks had crawler gears in their Jeep CJ that’s were slower than walking pace when engaged but at times depending how and where they got stuck, they would have to roll way back and then give it another shot.
Effectively the same car, slightly different engine & naming scheme.
IIRC, 1994 was when MB went from putting the series ahead of the name, instead of after.
I was close. Without some research I was fairly certain it was E class, just not the fire breathing version or a 500. I've always liked those wagons. Just something about those MBs.
I don't think we ever got a hot W124 wagon [or any hot wagons until the W211 E55]. Just the E500E sedan & some low-production AMGs, before it was a fully in-house division.
Really a shame that the W203 C Estate was only available in C240 trim A C32 Estate would've been great.

It was sooo tempting when I lived in Stuttgart. Got there in 2011 and saw someone selling a 2008 C63 AMG Avant for ~$29K. It was sweet, but no hope of importing to the USA. The size was just right, and it was an AMG (Another Mortgage, Great). But I'm happy now with the little wagon I have.
I had my Legacy RHD in Germany for 5 years. It didn't get old at all. The only pain in the ass part of it was parking garages. Getting the ticket and then leaving with a validated ticket. Oh, and the German inspectors every year telling me my headlights were not pointing correctly. They were, they just hated that the machine said they were good.
Here's a 1999, but a C240. Literally under 30K miles. Looks pristine. They want about $12K for her. You can get quite nice older luxury cars here for cheap.
