Those were pretty cool! The parents of a friend of mine in HS had a civic wagon similar to that one, good times.
that Suzuki isn’t a micro or nano van, it’s a pico van. I like it!
Over here, that's called a "one box" car. The yellow plates means the engine is 660cc. Yes, 660cc, motorcycles are bigger. Here's an unsold 2025 model (10km on the odometer). This would set you back ~$12k plus tax and registration. Notice on the last pic (interior door), there's a place to put your umbrella. Always thoughtful here.
I know they're impractical here, but Kei cars would make fun commuters, and probably great on gas.
A Honda S660 would be fun. Always liked the Cappuccino too
I'm dreaming of the day i can import a kei car into the US and use it to putz around
You can import one, however it has to be 25 years old or older to register in the US. That's what sucks, as a 25 year old kei car would be a true deathtrap.
Here's an odd duck: 1997 Honda Orthia wagon. Check out the 90's Japanese interior, with the checkered cloth inserts. Oh, and the Pioneer stereo. About 58K miles on her. Would be about $4k plus tax.

Reason: clarity

Thanks for posting more photos! It would be fun to zip around some areas in one of these instead of a golf cart. But on bigger roads, considering the Goliaths that are around you, I wouldn’t feel comfortable driving it.

Kei cars have come a long way. They are good little things when the speed limit when not on an expressway is mostly 60km/h or less. A lot of 30 and 40 km/h here so you really aren't going too fast. Sure, no worries about an Escalade plowing into you, but these dump trucks are no joke and will literally turn your kei car into a coin in seconds.
Local FB Marketplace post, this 2004 V70R for $5000 CAD, it's got the manual transmission, with equivalent to $250k miles (but he noted "needs 'TLC'...")
Yep. However the one above is a 25t RS Four S with the 2.5L motor. It's nice, but not the beast. The 260 RS is the firebreathing dragon of the wagons here. Has the same motor as the R34 GT-R. You can do a lot with those. See this add for the hot rod version, with a 5 speed manual. They are going for about $40K here.
Without the gap, you pull up at a light and see it you're not thinking "276HP or 450Hp or more." You're thinking what a weird looking (then nothing but tail lights).
