The rear seam and no door bothers me more than it should. Also, something about the long front overhang, the car gives me reliant robin vibes. The green one doesn’t seem as bad, but the blue one you posted nanxun is hard to look at
The blue and green VWs remind me of an old Audi 500S that I owned. Once you loaded the rear, the front of the car could come off the ground a bit during wet weather driving. Very scary to drive.
Forester, in between hatchback & SUV. WRX, hatchback
Our former Ford Flex was insurance classed as a wagon. But of a stretch, IMO.
im guessing you mean forester is between a wagon and SUV, not hatchback. Definitely too long for a hatchback with that 3rd window.
I looked at a flex back in 2010. The 3.5 turbo engine was too much $$ and I ultimately settled on the Odyssey which is my daily since the wife stole my TL-S and always takes it to work.
Still, one day, I will have a wagon!
Tomato/Potato.
Forester is too short for a wagon, too long for a HB, especially whencomparedtotheOutback.
I do agree the Outback is longer and the roof is longer, which gives it a more stretched look. That said, I don’t find the forester to be short, the 2nd and 3rd window are about the same size.
also, how do you classify the IS300 wagon? That to me looks more like a hatchback with the tiny rear window and raked rear glass, but I think I put more weight into the cars proportions that overall length.
I'd have little hesitation on a newer Hyundai/Kia/Genesis, much improved over the past.
Briefly shopped the Elantra GT Sport around 2018, for the $ it wasn't bad, but a far cry from the GTI I cross-shopped & the Mercedes C300 I ended up buying [CPO].
I like that Genesis wagon, I’m on the fence about the double spoiler at the back, top one is ok, but the one below the rear window looks like tits trying a bit too hard.
As far as dealer experience, the closest bmw dealership to me is a hard fail. Also, the Lexus service department near me is pretty bad. Luckily the Acura dealership has been great to me since 2005 when I bought my 2001 CL-S. I have to admit that the dealership experience does factor into my car shopping decision.
I saw this on Facebook... I never knew it existed...
It's the Genesis G70 Shooting Brake, I guess it's for the EU market.
What do you guys think about it? 🤔
I've had my G70 for a little over a year now and so far it's been my favorite car I've owned. It's a total sleeper and people are always confused on what it is. I do agree that the dealership experience is so so, but thankfully I've had zero issues with the car. Did my first service and the dealer surprisingly offered to valet the car 2 hours each way, all while dropping off a loaner. As nice as it was, I declined and drove it there instead. Didn't want an unknown tech putting that many miles on it.
Would definitely buy another Genesis just basing it off the car though. Especially if they made something like a performance G90 wagon. I feel like every car in their entire lineup is a homerun. They just need more standalone dealers.
