I noticed that sometimes when I unlocked the car and went into the passenger door (to get something)...it would auto lock on me. Last night, when my wife was getting into the car, the dome light didn't turn on and it was annoying.

Finally decided to take the door sensor off and take a look. Easy fix...

Here is everything taken apart...if you pop the clip on the metal cap, the whole assembly slides out easily and you can access everything. I sanded the aluminum slide contact as well as both smaller copper ones on the switch itself. Then bent them out a bit more, sanded them smooth, and added di-electric grease to all contacts.

Worked like a charm.

Finally bought the last part of the CR console for my car! The cupholder set had been on backorder.

Still have to find time to install the new SoS pulley, injectors, plugs, wideband, etc

Agreed.

Seems like prices have gone up in preparation for summer.

This car a few months ago would have been ~$2k less.

Ran home at lunch, and it was an unseasonably warm and nice day out. So...why not get her out of hibernation?

It's almost 30F outside here, which is awesome since the high on Monday was 2F, but the car is going to stay sleeping. Still some patches of snow on roads and the temp is far too cold for the tires to do anything meaningful.

I certainly won't do any spirited driving, but good to get her out for the 15 minute drive to work.

Not worth it for just 15 minutes. Would have to lower tire pressure and put insurance back on it to drive and then revert back to storage state and take insurance off when done. Also, the times I'd drive to/from work would be much colder than 30F so the tires would be like driving on hockey pucks.

It was 41 here yesterday at 6:30pm and I had the top down for most of the way home. It was a bit chilly but I had a few layers on along with a hat and gloves

I can't drop insurance any more since I have an umbrella policy (have a rental property and wanted to cover myself). USAA won't let me lower the insurance on the car because it would gap my coverage (ie, my cars insured to 300k, umbrella is 300k+, if I dropped coverage down car would be insured to 25k, then I'd be gapped 25k - 299.9k, no bueno).

It will be a cold drive home in an hour or two

If it was 41 here, I'd be wearing shorts and a tshirt while driving the S2k with the top down.

Even with the temp as it is right now (and was earlier this week), I pretty much wear a light jacket, no gloves, no hat and I'm fine. I only bust out the real winter jacket when the high is below zero.

Not sure how you have yours set up but I have mine on my auto policy so I only pay ~$70 for comprehensive insurance only for 6 months while the car is in storage. When it's out and about, it's like $200 for 6 months.

lol, the high here on Sunday is -7F with a low of -18F (before windchill). you guys wouldn't make it. Cold is good, keeps the crazies out.

Guess it's time to bust out that winter jacket...

Meh, it's not too bad. I've lived here all my life so I'm used to it at this point.

56F isn't cold lol, I've driven top down in shorts and sandals when it was in the 40's.

Seriously.

It's ~38-40* at around 5:30am here which is usually when I leave to work and I take my time turning on the car, blasting the heater and letting her warm-up while I go back inside and eat some breakfast.

I'm sure my neighbors probably love the sound of a V8 idling for ~5-10minutes that early in the morning. Good thing I only work 3-days a week.

That happened last night. I wanted to make sure I got a picture of it, so excuse the shitty quality as I had to stay back and zoom in.

We Californians take pride in our inability to handle weather below 65* and our pointless emissions laws, thank you very much!

San Diego is great, although traffic is starting to look more like LA everyday

I've never been to Florida, but if I do I'll be dropping you a PM!
