A friend of mine has an older house too and it seems everyone on his street has these big curbs leading up to the driveway. Lucky for him, the previous owners actually had the section of sidewalk cut out and removed in front of the driveway, and they had it repoured to look like a wheelchair curb ramp.

Gotta save up the cash though!
Nice!
What size are your wheels? I think they might contribute to the 4x4 look, my OEM wheels with OEM ride height seem to appear lower than yours....

Funny thing is, the moment we rolled up and looked at it for the first time, I told her "There's no way our cars are getting in there without re-doing the driveway. You know that right?".
I will say though (other than the driveway), this house is great. Great location, 3 bedroom 2 bath, sitting on a quarter acre.
The driveway at this time is "usable", I just need to focus on making the best of what I have to work with

I agree with you 100%, the Hankook RS3s are super meaty tires compared to what I had before.
I don't know how long this OEM suspension has been sitting, but perhaps it needs more time to settle?
I hope it stays the way it is, I can't afford to lose anymore ground clearance

I really want to get more into the Zeiss primes but now we're getting off topic.

Yeah, I find that wheels with the lip on them always seem smaller than wheels without.

Maybe I did more work than necessary, but I had to disconnect the front control arms & the front / rear sway bars to get the shocks in & out more easily.
Which bushings are you referring to?
I tightened these bolts on all 4 corners when the car was on the ground, in addition to both sway bars:

Gotcha, thanks for the input.
I tightened the upper control arms when the car was on jack stands, whoops. I'll take a look when I get home

Indeed it was! Thank you!
Sometimes I miss it but I'm enjoying the S2k immensely.

It's literally a quarter inch, that's all I have to work with.
OEM suspension is a small price to pay for driving 1hr+ for a garage .. car maintenance will be convenient going forward

I am annoyed. One of my side strakes fell off after being hit by something on the freeway.
It would be fine if I could just install a replacement set (which I bought), but the instructions are insane. The strakes are basically held on by a bunch of clamps and 2 holes that are drilled into the bodywork, and one of the holes isn't even useful -- the included "grommet" isn't anywhere near the right size or shape for the job.
What's worse is that the previous owner apparently drilled the holes, realized how flimsy the OEM attachment hardware was, then went to town attaching the strakes with wood screws.
Option 1 is to install the missing strake using the OEM attachment hardware and cover up the mess but that would probably bug me to no end. Option 2 doesn't exist because I'm not going to use any more wood screws on my car.
Option 3 ... I take the car to a body shop to get all the damage fixed and take off the remaining strake too.

one does not simply REMOVE STRAKES!
brother...I refused to install the drilled hole in the body on BOTH of my S2000's...I used one self tapping small screw from underneath and mounted it all as instructed with the double sided tape and clamps.
I even put some rust inhibitor on the self tapped screw...
My advice is this...
clean up any bare metal with touch up paint...run one size larger than your existing hole (the UNDERNEATH ONES) ...maybe even pop a grommet into the hole on the side of the body the guy drilled...and some silicone...
Once they're put back on, you'll forget all about the bs beneath...
NOw...about the double sided tape...had no issues with my silver S...but the other day my passenger side was loose...don't know if somephuck tried to jack it, or the double sided tape didn't adhere properly...so I removed the tape...while on the car...added a few gobs of clear RTV silicone (that won't damage paint if ever removed)...then put my tool box up against it with a sponge as a buffer overnight while it dried. It's on there firm as hell now.
