I am going to Vegas in 2 weeks... i will go check it out in person if it is not sold by then.
I think the car probably had more mods before it was sold to the dealer.
I checked out their inventory, the whole dealer looks suspicious

I do dig the ce @dennis...
but the advan are my jam...and damn, if Sam is being serious that's a huge compliment on my selection, given that he's so pro oem!
Trust me, the decision is tough, but in the end, with the deal the guy gave me for a set back...I couldn't pass it up. I don't love the RSII as much as my original RS. So I'm happy to get them back.
Can you tell I love the wheel?

Was going to wait until spring but, wth, went ahead and swapped the Advans on it.
The pair of 9.5 wide rears cost more than the full set of 7.5, but gotta pay to play. These 18's have no forgiveness at all on crappy streets.
The mod at s2ki thought I may need negative camber in the rear, but I'm not that low on the coilovers which are fairly stiff and the rears were already rolled. I stuck with 245 for the rears over 255 which would have stuck out more.

Looks great, man...that advan has grown on me!
Can't really tell from the angles you took, but it does seem like you have some negative camber room to play if you wanted to go 255.
Being forced into negative camber is what kept me from going +35 17x9 on the weds...that and I didn't like them as much head on...I like evenly spoked 10 spoke, not 5 spoke v splits.

Oh well…
Took the rims and tires to discount for mount/balance and swapped them myself that evening to see that no new ball joints necessary.
Saved 20 mile trip to that dude's shop. Saved my wife the time of following me there and having to go back to pick it up. Saved the labor of not installing the new ball joints and getting an alignment. Thanks azzhole
Just need to sell the ball joints to recoup that money.

I love TE37s, SE37s, and the LE polished lip versions, but those are hard to come by as a staggered set with workable offsets and run $2k and up. I was already sitting on the set of 18x7.5 advans, so when the wider pair came up, the decision was easy.

Where can I get some that aren't so damned expensive? I'd even be ok with quality reps.
CE28's look aight to me but I'm not a huge fan of having wheels with a lip on them. I like the flush look more.

I'm all about the spokes so they end up looking bigger, visually...with a lip, normally you hafta go 18 to look good...like with the LM BBS.
If you want a quality rep...in a better price range, I stumbled on these:
SSR GTV02 seem to be based strongly on the same design...a little heavier than the Advan but looks very nice and includes the $240 center caps you'd have to run with the Advan #hardparkedlife...#notrackqueen...#ilikecentercaps
nice little stagger setup
Evasive Motorsports | PH: 626.336.3400 Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm PST: SSR GTV02 Wheel - 17×8.0 / 5x114.3 / Offset +45
Evasive Motorsports | PH: 626.336.3400 Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm PST: SSR GTV02 Wheel - 17×9.0 / 5x114.3 / Offset +45
Of if you want, go non-staggered and do the 9" all around...
If you have huge balls, you can find one set of 17x9 +29 on ebay...but that's over fender and eating front fender territory (that's like a 15MM spacer on the advan fronts I pictured).

Honda intended for the fenders to be rolled...so it's oem. They just wanted to include you in the process and let you figure out having it done yourself.
Anybody have any experience with WeatherTech lamp guards? Or any headlight film applications?
Headlamp Headlight Protection, LampGard by WeatherTech | WeatherTech.com
My S2000's headlights are getting pretty oxidized and I want to find a more permanent solution other than waxing them or using those headlight restoration kits.
Maybe I could wetsand, clear them up, and apply the WeatherTech film?
Thoughts?

But eventually they will all come back.
Thought about film but dont know if the headlight will be hot enough to melt the film.
I used the 5000, 3000, then 2000 sandpaper on my GF's car. The result is pretty good and it last 3x longer than the typical restoration kit, which only really last 1 month.

Just as a FYI, the film will still yellow even with the inhibitors. Everything will yellow, the inhibitors just slow the process down.
Do they even make 5000 grit paper? That's like newborn baby bottom smooth.
i will get you some 5000 sandpaper and you can try to wipe your ass with it

I'd do the wet sand and then film for the cost. It's pretty cost effective but make sure you get the good quality stuff with UV inhibitors in it. If you're willing to spend more, get them cleared.
