Ride height is a personal preference as are wheels. I actually will be a tad lower once I put the Swifts on the car again. I had Swifts on my '05 before and liked them.

No Dragon for me this year. After 13 straight years of going, I'm going to finally miss one. Which is ok. Life happens.
Thanks for the compliment on the wheels. I had been eying the Ce28 genesis when they announced them and the 1000 sets limit. One of the vendors had them so I jumped on them. I sold my track wheels at the end of last year so I'm down to just the Volks and the stock wheels.

Quoting the first page of this thread ... times sure have changed .

I see some AP1s / AP2s with 140,000 miles going for $10 - $12k

I had an offer on my '08 for $35k by a guy in Atlanta last year. I still didn't sell it. I know a few people who have had their S2000s for a few years and sold them for more than they bought them for.

(but then missed their S2000, and ended up paying more for a car a few years older. lol )

Exactly. I keep thinking I'm going to make the leap to a NSX, but my current plan is to keep the S2000 because

a) I know I'd miss it if it went.....I've had it for seven years as of 4/3.

My first S2000 picture post was #528 in this very thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/car-tal...4/#post5896308

b) Damn those NSX prices are appreciating fast.

c) Damn these S2000 prices are appreciating fast. I could probably get most of what I purchased my car for seven years ago.

Gotcha...well, either way, great taste!
I have to do the Dragon one of these years.

LOL...Well, can't hate GPW no matter what...that's a stellar color...so was Sebring. I always wanted a little more pop in color...and I certainly got that!

Prices are all over the place depending on where you look and who you're buying from! In general though, when I was looking now in comparison to 2 years ago...prices for a clean one seem to have skyrocketed!

I feel exactly that way...have lived it, actually...except same year and lower price point.

Yeah, I've had offers for more or the same as what I bought mine for 3 years ago.

Tempting but nope. It's been absolutely reliable, it's paid for, obviously fun to drive and feel it's an extension of my will. I'd rather not screw up a good thing!

I use it for all forums.
I highly recommend it. RTD (in 2 weeks) is consistantly one of the largest gatherings of S2000s. There are some fantastic roads and you get to meet other enthusiasts there as well. I'm still bummed that I won't make it this year.

I'll have to look for you on the other forum sometime. I spend the majority of "forum" time over there, although now that I'm an Acura owner (well, as of tomorrow I will be), I'll be over here quite a bit.

There's no other forum like Acurazine. You'll see, so many members here don't even have Acuras anymore. If you really want to have a good time, hit the 3G Ramblings.

His S is clean. I've seen it before a few times (especially since he lives not too far from me)

I do like this forum. Now if I could find a DIY on how to hardwire a V1 on a TSX w/tech. I looked around and found a lot for TL and TLX

missed out on a dream deal. Found a one owner, white with tan interior 2003 S2k, had 30k on the odometer. Clean carfax, bone stock. He was asking 16,500. By the time I called, someone had put a down payment and was flying from Cali to NC to pick up pending the test drive. Of course the damn thing was pretty much new, so the test drive was good. Back to the waiting game for a one (maybe 2) owner low mileage car.

EDIT: I have been waiting about 3 years for a deal like that, had cash in hand and live about an hour from the guy. I offered him a little more and he still wouldn't break the original agreement with the guy from cali. I doubt I will see a deal like that again for a long while.

Damn...that does sound like a good deal! Don't worry, there will be others! I like the guy that sold the car, couldn't be swayed with more money, a deal is a deal. Hard to find people like that!

Oow, you trollin'? Who is what? Rio? The color!

Greased the shifter assembly yesterday...fkng butter...between the checkvalve delete, new fluid, new GM synchromesh (switched to that from Honda MTF in a week...removed the hard edged notchy feel, for me) and now greasing...the car is a dream to drive.

Oh and I didn't know it, but the car came with the expensive OEM titanium shift knob!

I go back and forth on what to put on, but I do enjoy the feel of it!
Chip is sending me his mishi that he'll never use. I'll likely end up with it on both cars again!

I've done a bunch of different shift jobs but for some reason always end up with the stock knob (ti version)
The countersunk voodoo knob was my favorite but it sometimes wouldn't fully engage 2nd

I have 2 sets of countersunk knobs and both times, I swap out for lack of leverage. The titanium one seems really good though, tall enough, while being rounded to rest your hand. I loveeee my mishimoto shift knob too, but with the plastic insert, it's a pain in the arse to put on and take off if I feel like swapping.

I got the equivalent type r one for the TL in heavy weight with real cf finish from NRG. Great little knob.

Awesome choice. I was seconds from buying one three years ago but changed my mind. I love them but didn't like the deal I was offeredorbthe fact I couldn't get one in blue without waiting months.

Get home safe!

I feel that given the previous owner was a Honda employee and its a one year old car with certified warranty I felt that I got a fair price for it.
I do love the car and is actually going into the shop on Monday for some paint work. Doing some changes to the front of the car. There is a paint shop locally that I trusted with the S so I know they will do a good job with the TSX.

TSX/TL and S2000 combo is something I see very often! Perfect pair...they compliment each other so well and make you appreciate the other. When you miss comfort and louder music, TSX...but then miss the driving experience in the S...bam...perfect.

Thanks!
That's kind of what I was thinking. I'm really happy with the wagon...... Which of course is Mia this morning.... Wife left with it so I'm stuck with her CRV today.

Car goes into the shop on Monday. I'll take some before and after pics
