58 degrees and partly cloudy here and I went topless as well. Let me tell you right now: I am glad I made the right choice and went with the S2k. I absolutely love it. There is nothing else on the road like it. I changed my mind about mods. It is staying completely stock for now, looks good enough as is.

Pix after a quick layer of Zaino taken and should be posted later. I know you guys know what a stock AP1 S2K looks like, but I'm going to post mine anyway.

Feel free!
I need to stop coming to this thread
Every time I surf through this thread I feel like driving to the nearest Honda dealer to pick up whatever S2k he has on his lot, the urges are getting stronger.

A pimple-faced teenager came flying up next to me in his 10 year old Z28. He looked over at me while pacing me and then floored his car. There was this long lag as the automatic transmission, hunted for a lower gear. It finally started to accelerate away after letting out one noisy backfire. It made a whole lot of noise, but didn't really pull away with too much vigor. I was LMAO all the way home!

neuronbob's S2K
Lots of pics taken under high daylight, so they are a bit oversaturated. The S2K has a quick layer of Zaino.

A few shots of the little feller with his big brother, the RL. The RL is a bit dirty from recent rain, though...

A nature shot as I was driving through the park, top down. Aaaaaaah.

The S2K's new home. It will be a garage queen along with the wife's Pilot. My RL will hang out outside unless I add a third bay to the garage.
My extra-special little car wash helper, my son, ran into the picture at the last second.

You must not be married.

Wife would shoot me, or at least think about it.

I drive a manual tranny Z28, thanks.
I had a feeling someone would mention me after that. And no I'm not pimply faced
Actually my "realistic dream car" was an S2000 since before I could even drive.... before I bought my Z28 I really wanted an AP2 but even would settle so to speak for an AP1, but I couldn't even afford that.... so I went with the next best thing IMHO. There wasn't a funner, more reliable, less theft-prone (knock on wood) clean title, relatively low-mileage car out there I could buy for 9-10 grand.... so I bought the Z28. Some of my Honda friends said I should have gotten an EM1 Civic Si

This thread just torments me though.... it makes me wish I kept on saving until now, though I don't regret it too much.
Looks good Bob!
It was an OK day up here today, mid-50's with the sun desperately trying to poke through the clouds. I can't wait for spring to arrive along with the good weather, next week is looking promising, this car is so much more fun to drive with the top down!

Oh yeah, congrats btw.
Just crank up the heat to full blast in your face and when it gets too hot choose the windshield defrost/feet vents
That one dude who drives everyday with the top down is crazy though.... fine its cold and you just need to grow a pair to do it, but it must be a PITA to clean your car after driving in the rain/snow
Pretty much mid-30s and under means you've got quite a few hairs on your chest...

I'm jealous, I wish I could afford both the TL and S2k, how did the Zaino go on in these mild temps?
Also good to see another Honda family! next is Honda yard equipment, btw its the tops.

I screwed with the tonneau cover yesterday for about 15 minutes and it sort of fit, but looked like shit. Do any of the S2k'ers here use it? any tips for getting it on and off sort of quickly? I'm not really sold on the thing, in fact yesterday was the first time I took it out of the packaging, I think if I knew I was going to be top down for a day or two it would clean things up a bit, but if its a pain in the ass its not worth it.
I like the look of both the AP1 and AP2. I plan to keep it stock until I learn more about it. I'm in no rush to do anything but take Mrs. neuronbob out this PM in the car so she can enjoy it with me.

Answering Jesal's question, I never considered a M Roadster, the only two cars I seriously considered were the Lotus Elise, and the Porsche Boxster. Having lived with the S2000 for almost 4 months now I am very glad I did not get the Elise, it would have been too difficult to deal with as an only car, the S2000 draws more attention then I like the elise would have been a nightmare. I like the boxster but would want a boxster S with a few options and then it is considerably more money and right now I just couldn't justify spending it. If I don't step up to the plate and get a Tesla to replace the S2000, chances are extremely high it will be a Boxster S.
My dad had a 01 Z3 3.0 with the sports package (had to sell it to pay off my uncle's gambling debt to the mafia--true story) and it was AWESOME. Can't imagine what the M roadster would be like, and I don't see what's so bad about the interior.

Great pictures, Bob. The best all Honda family portrait I've ever seen. And in Cleveland. Who knew?
I guess you like silver? That's Germany's racing colors. I like it, too.
I've never really given the S2000 much thought although I have been considering a Corvette.
Your experience has broadened my horizons and my options. Thanks.

As for the Honda family portrait....I never thought of myself as one, but I guess I'm a Honda fanboi after all. (Thanks a lot, Jesal, for calling me one!
)I know I said it was a weekend toy, but the weather was so good today was so good I drove it to work. Top up early in the morning, top down later this morning. Aaaaaaaaaaaaah.......
