New clutch impressions:
Wow
Things I noticed right off the bat:
1: Clutch pedal is much softer - I was almost convinced my car had a aftermarket clutch kit before getting the work done, but everything that came out was original. Could have been a lack of lubrication or maybe a bad throwout bearing?
2: Revs climb & drop effortlessly with the lighter flywheel, car feels like it has more throttle response. I'm excited because it'll only be more responsive when new motors mounts go in (confirmed that mine are shot)
3: Clutch engagement - much smaller window of engagement, almost stalled it this morning and on my lunch today.
All in all, for any AP2s doing a clutch job I'd definitely recommend spending the extra $300ish for a new and lighter AP1 flywheel and not getting a resurface.

When Billman did my clutch, he told me it would be so light I could almost clutch with my heel on the floor (like the gas pedal). Not quite true, but I got his point. I went with the AP1v2 clutch---no more clutch buzz and I'm loving it!

For a MY00? I think not.
Either way, Billman said it was in the top 2% cleanest S2Ks he has ever worked on---heady praise, indeed!
I don't subscribe to the "Put it away and don't drive it" mentality. These cars were MADE to be DRIVEN!

Bought my S2000 new in 2007. Rio Yellow. Put 36,000 miles 07-08.
2008-2014, put 445 miles.
My first S2000 Spa Yellow, put 210k miles on it, before I got the 07.

This was the night I brought her home (bought in SD, drove up to Los Angeles). To break it in, that night drove it to San Francisco and back.

61F and very sunny here today. Went for a nice drive on local curvy roads, and then hit an empty parking lot and practiced autox turns.
And with an invidia you owe them some Bose QC 15s.

It was dry and 60 degrees out today, amazing weather for Cleveland in December. No sun though.
I took my S out for the first time in almost two months, warmed it up, and did some VTEC runs on the freeway. Man I love this car despite its garage queen status in my stable.

Clutch has finally broken in - feels like a totally different car!
Now it's time for motor mounts and I think this time around I'll be going for OEM for a change.
Anybody have any experience with Innovative mounts on an S2k? Or should I stick with OEM?
I'd imagine the vibrations would be pretty intense, they were bad on my Accord 6 speed (65a / 75a).

I may or may not have put the silencers in for my weekend trip to NOLA.
I love the sound, but at 80 mph-ish anything more than 15-20 minutes could become dangerous to my hearing (the 4k drone is pretty bad)
silencers work wonderfully though, take 2 minutes to put in and take the sound down to just above stock noise levels.

I don't have a pic right now but the bottom of the muffler tip has a small hole in it, push the silencer into the tip (also has a small hole on the bottom, push bolt through, tighten nut underneath tip.
silence....
