I was about to be seriously pissed about the waste and destruction of a beautiful thoroughbred Pagani for use as a freaking wall! If it indeed is just a replica then that is actually a really cool idea, but to ruin an actual one lock it up in a condo like that would be a complete and utter abomination. I already dislike the fact that most supercar buyers view their cars purely as investments and very rarely even drive them but this kind of thing is just beyond the pale!
I mean.. it's still expensive AF though right? One of a kind? If he sold the shell, I'm sure it would be the price of a Huracan.
I think this replica was quoted at $1.5 million (Rs have listed for $3-3.5 million on the used market) which isn't too surprising as the shell still built using the same technique as a normal one, the carbon just isn't strengthened to hold an actual power plant. The body doesn't appear to be as aerodynamically advanced as the real cars, either.

If he wanted to ruin a real one, he would've just used the real R he owns. Or maybe his Zonda F.
I would've stuck with his original idea and just commissioned an AMG engine for display.
some of you probably already seen/heard that a GoldRush Rally Huracan Performante caught fire in St. Louis.... luckily everyone is OK but the car... not so much. Apparently it was the result of driving away with the nozzle still in..... caused an explosion and then this....
Seriously, the Chad reference went completely over my head until Mike pointed it out.
Mind you, I really was not paying attention or aware of that episode on AZ.
Spent the majority of the day in a loaner S5 as they wanted to let me get a feel of having one for day-to-day (i.e. errands, driving the family around). Loved it. I also made a change request to add the carbon trim.
that is how you do it.. i ordered mine with CF trim too... except that mine is probably fake.
So.... as i was tracking my 340, i noticed something funny... It is 8AT instead of the 6mt i thought i ordered and it is arriving at the San Pedro Port on 7/19.... so it is too late.
and i called BMW NA and they confirmed it is a 8AT.
I kinda feel helpless, i mean i can talk to the dealer but they can't magically create a 6mt one for me and i need to return my current car by end of this month.
I could extend my lease to order a new car but there is no more 2018 allocations.
I mean i am kinda fucked
If i knew it was 8AT, i would have just stayed with the 540...I could try to talk to the dealer to give me more discount, but i am not sure how much more discount they could give me since it is already 20% off MSRP.

Technically if they fucked up, they need to fix it and you're not responsible for turning in the ride correct?
Or you should get a loaner for the mean time.

Yes somoene at BMW fucked up... but at this point it does not matter since there is no 6mt available on the lot. The car just does not exist.
Turning the car and my new car are 2 separate things, i have to return it unless i extend my contract of my current lease.
Also just because i ordered the car, doesnt mean i have to buy it. The deposit is 100% refundable.... unlike ahem Canada!
I was hoping to get the car before i leave... i thought it arrives at the port on 7/19 and i probably could pick it up end of this month before i leave... all calculated and ready to go until they dropped this bomb on me ...
Anyways... we will see... I think the M3 is a long shot... i mean i was in the car business, they would rather not do the deal than losing $$...

Just buy some sh1tbox Civic for $4k and drive it around for a couple months while they build you a new one.
