I dunno. I'm wacist. So, I'll probably only let someone non-white touch my Owdee.

Maybe exception made for ttribe but that's only cuz he has never experienced a fast car before and I feel sollee for him.

Caveat to the Owdee though. No pricing yet announced by the mothership for 2019 and there is a delay on manufacturing. So, with the deposit and appraisal of the MINI, we'll have a tentative agreement and etc. but it will be based on the 2018 pricing with the condition we'll adjust it once 2019 pricing is provided.

Timeline is possibly October-November for the car to arrive. So, in short, it'll arrive just as I'm 123143 feet buried in snow. Great.

I guess that's still half the price of an E63s 4matic Estate

WTF is with the US pricing?

So, I'm not getting the differential, steering, or suspension...which even then, if I added them, the car would be about $75K CAD. So, it must be something very different in the pricing models with the Owdee USA. The way I have the S5 configured, it's under $70K CAD all-in.

That's not terrible at least from a beaver-dollars-sort of perspective.

Well, I know the invoice price. I usually use a 3% profit addition on that as a starting and go upwards from there.

The good news is, there is another Owdee dealership and two Bimbim dealerships here. So, like with the FX and the MINI, I just get the places to bid against each other despite me having a preference to a model. It usually works out. And besides, I'm too lazy to go shopping for service and so, the dealerships know I will service the car with them for the life of ownership. They will "win" at the end. Just don't fark me on the purchase price.

When is the 2019 model released? is it out now? Expect to pay close to MSRP if it gets released around the same time as when you wanna buy the car even tho it is the same car as 2018.

If that is not acceptable to you, you are more than welcome to join the big league of white BMWs.

That's per my above post, no ETA yet since they can't place the order on 2019s with Owdee announcing a delay on manufacturing. It's possible it won't get in until November. And yeah, call it a quirk but I want a 2019 since the model year is on the cusp of flipping. Why get the prior year if I can get the new one for the same negotiated price? I had no problem negotiating 3% over invoice price for the FX50 on the new model year and so, I won't have that problem with the S5 either...esp. with 3 other dealerships in town I can get alternatives. The sales guy also knows his neighbor, Volvo is in play if I decide to pick up and play in another sandbox.

I am sorry... but i am not used to seeing anything over invoice. Invoice price = highest price i would pay for any car. .... BMW is usually $3000 below invoice before any incentives
But yah if you can get the 2019 as same price as the 2018.. obviously go for 2019. But i am not sure if you could. I worked for Audi for a while haha..

Maybe invoice price in Canada means something else, but in the US, invoice price means nothing It is just a tool for the sales people to use on their preys.

This. People don't realize that even if a car sells for below invoice, the dealer can still make a good chunk of change on the deal.

K, let me be clear: I know the invoice/dealer price may not be a big deal as almost always, that price is possibly more than what the dealership pays for the car. There are discounts like dealer cash incentives, holdback, and so on that is not posted that further lowers the cost to the sales. That being said though, I do have access to a report that shows factory incentive, cash, finance, and lease (although, this doesn't matter to me) programs that help me see any further reductions I can ask for.

How accurate is this info I have access to? I don't know for sure but it is something I've used to-date to help make car purchases for my family and myself and got a pricing I was okay with paying. It's not PERFECT but I'm not out to save every penny either...that's just too much effort IMO. I'm but not a complete 100% chip-Chinee. Just 34.50.

Anyways, the S5 Sportback non-refundable deposit was paid today. The packages in the US and Canada are marketed different but the only options I did NOT purchase are the carbon inlays trim, sports steering, suspension/damping, and rear heated seats.

So, I broke and added the differential since I do occasionally drive the car like I stole it esp. on mountain roads. Yup, it is white. Yup it has red seats and calipers.

The rest less stereotypical crap I bought are the heads-up display. I need that heated steering wheel since I'll freeze to death. Yup, I have the advanced driver's assist package cuz I'm and need all the help I can get to drive. And oh, I got the Audi emblem glow thing (sure, cheesy okay?). I also shrugged and bought the 4 year "Audi Care" package that basically is 4-years worth of fluid changes and etc. Added in 3M. So, with the government tax, freight/PDI, and the "admin fee" heaped on, I got about $3000 off the sticker price on a model not yet released. Probably could've done better but good enough.

ETA? No farking clue. We hope by November.

Heated steering wheel is pretty nice when it's freezing cold out, especially since you're in Meese-land. But my passengers use my heated seats more than I do.

But ventilated seats are a must in CA. If I get a luxury car or 4-door next, I will get cooled seats.

Yeah, not an option on the S5 Sportback unfortunately, I will miss cooling seats as summers here can get warm. But, I do have that still in the FX...besides, the Owdee is replacing her MINI so, it's going to be mostly her car. She can have the warm tush.

Congrats. I freaking love the DAP on my A4 for its adaptive cruise control in Chicago freeway traffic. It's pretty darn nice on the open road too.

I bought my A4 before the A5 SB was out, but honestly some of the feature deletes like ventilated seats on the A5 would have made me pick the A4 anyway even though the A5 SB is the better looking car.

Thanks, Mike. I don't recall reading when you scored the A4 -- how long have you had it? Any issues overall?

From asking around and reading, it appears of the German trio, Audi seems to be the more reliable of the group with BMW being the most "fragile".

Taxes and everything? Yeah, about that amount. So, in USD, it's about $55. I don't have the printout in front of me as it's on my desk at home.

I can check later but is the Prestiage = Teknic version? This is where the US/Canada marketing goes weird. The latter in Canada gets you almost everything except the options I had mentioned I had added/opted out.
