just when i thought no one can be as bad as SSFTSX.

I'd love to see a debate between SSFTSX and Tommy about Acura vs. Lexus.

The RLX just needs proper tires to take on the LFA.

Anyways I promise everyone I'll tune it down. I have come to realize that my aggressive front on approach does not work for this forum. I'll definitely improve my manners and post styling. We all make mistakes though, but the pursuit of perfection should be always a goal for every one of us in every facet of life.

Your recent threads (the one I locked and the other by juniorbean) were full-stupid. Just letting you know.

One thing to be an obvious fan of a brand (which, you clearly are)...but, to be that obtuse about it? Well, hah...you're going to be eaten alive in Car Talk.

He must be one of 1SICKLEX's disciples.

I still at how a mega mod on a Lexus forum gets banned from an Acura forum.

I'll just leave this here:

Do you expect Cristiano Ronaldo to still play for Sporting Lisbon when he got signed to Manchester United?

Tribe can't seem to get the fact that a person's opinions changes when that person swap brands. And there's nothing wrong about that.

Nice try, but no. What you said at the beginning of the same post I referenced:

Also, let's check the date on that post - 01/14/2014. You want us to believe that you went from vociferous Acura Fanboy to Lexus Fanboy in 4-weeks. Man, you're fickle if that's the case.

OK guys... Yummy replied and Tommy said he's going to tone it down.

Let's drop it and continue on with out calling him out, quoting him, etc. If he starts up again it's to his own detriment. Let's not fuel the fire now that it's starting to go out. Save that for Ramblings...

It just stood out since it's an unmolested example. I know 91s have some issues.

As for the mileage, I don't know if I'd consider that high for a 20+ year old car. Lot of these examples in this ballpark seem closer to 100,000 than 50k.

IMO that is VERY low mileage for a 1991 vehicle, even for a NSX. It's not the kind of car that sits in a garage, people actually drive those.

Exactly. Besides maybe the Corvette, out of the 90's sports cars, this was arguably the most reliable & best at being used every day.

I've dug through some NSXPrime threads & many owners said they DD' theirs for 5-10+ years without any major issues arising. I'm interested in actually using this one, but I won't get a chance to see it til' Monday & maybe have a PPI done to be safe. Would eventually have to pick up a $1-2K beater though to ease the wear on it, though.

+1, I'm not seeing the mileage as an issue here.

I knew a guy who owned a '91 and he said he redlined it every day. Daily driven with 140k miles on the odo. No oil consumption issues, funny noises or performance issues.

FWIW, where I'm at, it has one of arguably the harshest winters in North America and there are people who use the NSX as their daily driver...all they did was slap on winters when it got cold and kept on putzing.

Mind you...you had to wonder about the overall safety given how the roads here are typically dominated by giant SUVs and pickups...the NSX' aluminum shell is not exactly conducive of surviving a "bump" I would think...?

I can't speak about the actual safety of the car, but it must be considered that the vehicle was designed in 1989. Standards were simply lower back then. It is also much lower than the average car, so you'll probably be kissing an SUV's bumper in a side impact. There's a reason why so many cars these days have such high beltlines.

Still worth it.

Mileage isn't high at all. It is actually priced well. I was debating editing my original comment. Poking around craigslist I found a few similar ones (mileage/price). If I was in the market for an NSX I would probably lean towards a newer model. Just preference - nothing to do with the car.
