C'mon BRUH
His will look much better. Those 17x8s with the flat face don't look nearly as good as the concaved 9s.

I love checking this thread so much because of the amount of parts this car has. Blows my mind coming from a CL, lol.

+1

My car has a staggered wheel setup and it bugs me a bit how the wheels are different from the rear - Only advantage of having 8" fronts is less understeer and I don't have to roll my fenders.

$50 for the tablet

be a good guy and treat her to some nice dinner

I recently sold my 16GB Nexus 7 for 125 on CL, so $50 is a STEAL !!!

just a reminder that some 16GB tablets (2012) model have an issue while connecting to the laptop, the* laptop does not recognize them...make sure it connects fine....or make sure you dont upgrade the OS to 4.4.2....

...Happy Life Happy Wife, huh?!?! What about those poor guys that are single and have to spend ALL their money on themselves. They look pretty miserable, don't they?

Don't worry, I'm not one of them.

Looking forward to your birthday then!

The lip would protect my bumper.

It was $85.

Yeah, I don't like how the 8" RPF1s look. Such a big difference.

Yeah, she said she didn't use it forever. haha

Will check it out when I get it. Hopefully it'll be tonight!

I need to buy the Torque app on that tablet, right? The OBD toggle thingy and the tabs will be delivered by tomorrow.

If you do a Skittles color on your wheels, I will personally drive over to So. California and slap you silly! (provided you're not much bigger than me)

He should do each wheel in a different Skittles color. Green, Red, Orange, and Yellow ... Would be perfect with a white car.

The previous owner bought it brand new and wet-sanded and polished it like crazy. So, it looks even more cleaner.

The RPF1 is still a crazy good looking wheel. Less understeer and no fender rolling sounds like a good deal to me.

Picking up the front lip in an hour.

Will probably install that tomorrow morning.

The seller was nice enough to drive up to LA. He lives like 40 miles away.

Will take some good pics when I wash my car tomorrow.

But here it is

The rotors were all resurfaced. The calipers were lubed. Motul600/PMU Club Racer front pads are in.

looking real good!

I'm been scouting the local board and classifieds almost every day now. What better excuses to pick something else than because I wanted it anyway, and it's a great deal?

Thanks!

For sure. Once you have decided to buy something, always check the local boards.

Ah the joy of snagging an awesome deal lol

I don't know lol

And it is highly recommended to resurface so the new pads don't eat up the rotors. And it prevents the car to vibrate under hard braking.

LOL...well, it'll only vibrate IF they are warped, but I'm guessing they're saying with old material on, with hardcore pads you're more likely TO warp them?

Either way...I'm still waiting for your birthday. I cringed when I saw that perfectly clean stock suspension sitting in that well.

Yeah. The shop owner has been racing his miata at the track for almost 20 years. He said for street use, it's not really needed. But for tracking use, it's better to be extra, extra prepped to the max.

And yeah I wish my bday was sooner. LOL

I think it may be a bit overkill for your first time out, but better safe than sorry. Half a lap at speed on a track and your brakes will be hotter than they ever have been before.

Yep. Chuckwalla is much, much faster track than Streets of Willow too.

I was fine with my stock brakes and stock fluid at SOW. But I definitely needed these for chuckwalla.

It feels so responsive and grabby! I love it!

It squeaks obviously but I love that too.

I spoke to a Z06 owner yesterday and he confirmed the owners who built Chuckwalla Valley Raceway in fact own Corvettes and there's only a few corners that are 40-50mph .. the rest are 80-90mph.

Despite having DOT4 in my S2000, I'm really debating on getting my pads changed out now.

I was reading up on that for the S, Tyler...supposedly stock set up is excellent...but I'm curious what you end up with.

What are you thinking? EBC Red? Sorry to derail.

+1 on derailing, sheesh

I think the stock brakes on the S2000 are great, I'm just worried how they will hold up with multiple hard stops & in 80-90f weather.

If I'm doing new pads ... the sick sick modding bug in me says might as well get slotted rotors too .

Jin, are you all ready?

Maybe that's true for Vettes that are more prepped for tracks. I think it's more like 60-70 mph corners.

I swapped out my brake pads last Saturday, so I'm ready for this Saturday. However, my car will be filthy. Won't have time to wash it.

Nope. Whenever you change your Front brake pads, your rotors will Always need to be resurfaced or replaced.

Stock S2k pads are meh... probably last you 2 laps.

It is not so much about the pads, SS lines + better fluid will help you more the the pads.

I heard the s2ks have tendency to eat up the rotors. There's this guy who owns and tracks his s2k and brz. You should talk to him at the track to see what's good and bad for s2k. I'll find him for you.

He's super fast.

I'm ready now. Just needed to get my front pads and brake fluid done.

My car is super dirty as well. Not gonna wash it til I come back from the track trip.

Damn I'm going to get up around 4AM and leave.

Do you have a contour/hero mounted camera? I would love to virtually take this ride with you, brother.

I read that in the S2000, the rotors/SS lines won't make a lick of difference.
Just pads and fluid, if anything.

Good to know about the resurfacing btw...I always bed in properly to mate the surface and never resurface unless warped
