That's going to look awesome once you drop it. What a great choice. Congrats man. Really curious to see what you think at the track the next time you go.

Thanks man!

Yeah, I can't wait to take it out to track. It feels so awesome on the street. Can't stop driving it. Haha

The heavier steering made the car feel like a beemer.

Yeah, I love it.

The car just hooks and shoots everywhere on the street. No more skidding around.

Thanks!

Yes, it's my daily. My work commute is only 20 miles round trip. No biggie!

It's been like 70-75 Sunny in Los Angeles. Love this weather. So fun to drive around. Can't wait to go to Chuckwalla on 4/5!

Whiteline 14mm camber bolts for that extra grip. It's like $45 new but got it for $25 from a local dude. It's a brand new one.

Will get my alignment done with these. I believe these will give me up to -1.5 degree camber!

This is a lot of extra grip at the track.

RPF1s are everywhere...and I don't care.

Cheap, strong, light, lots of sizes/colors = No brainer.

Looks good, brosef.

They are a little high at the moment, yes. But it doesn't bother me much. If I didn't plan on tracking the car, I can just throw on some springs and look sexier, but no. I'll get some nice coilovers next year.

Thanks man!

Yeah, there are certainly a lot of sexy wheels under $1500 for a set. But nothing really comes close to the bang for the buck factor of RPF1s. And I ALWAYS wanted a set of wide RPF1s on my cars. So happy that I finally got them.

And when I went to the track last month, 70% of cars there were rocking RPF1s. I didn't care at all since they ALL looked fking sexy. I don't personally care what others think about my car either.

Anyway, the car feels completely different now with these on!

I'm such a schizo...I can't make up my mind...one problem is that with spacers, the oem wheels look fkn phenomenal.

Ones I've considered but am not sure I'd plop the money on
RFP1, common, i love em, wife doesn't dig them
Enkei rs05rr, too new, no deals, spensive!
work cr kai, i like them sometimes, sometimes I think they look bland
work xd9, depending on offets they look convex sometimes...like a spare
ssr model c not a big fan, but caught my eye
rotiform nue, too aggressive
avant garde m240, wife hates them, but i think they're nice
regamaster evo, too much money for such an old and simple wheel...usually they're too aggressive too

I refuse to lose ability to just drive the car...and I won't go further than natural camber and rolled fender...on the S it's VERY easy to bend the front fenders...I test fit the advan on it, looked fkn amazing but the fender was literally sitting on the tire.

I have to have her like them too to approve such an expense...

I bet you love plowing into corners 10+mph faster than you used to. When you get your suspension sorted you'll wonder why you put it off for so long. Totally different beast.

I was in the same situation. My wife certainly had to approve the wheels.

She didn't like the RPF1s saying that they looked too sporty.

I literally showed her the pictures of 86 rocking different RPF1s for like 2 months straight everyday. She got sick of them and said do whatever you want.

If I do every go FI and need to upgrade my wheels, I will go with 18" Enkei RS05RR. Those are just SICK. But yes, they are new and fairly expensive.

Check out these beauty queens.. This is definitely the set up I want in the future if I ever get boosted and need larger wheels and tires.

YES. Of course, I don't push my car on the streets too much and have to wait couple more weeks to hit the Chuckwalla track, but I can definitely feel the HUGE improvement that the new set of wheels and tires have made. The car just feels stuck to the road now.

I tested the tires on the top of my work parking structure where there's literally nothing there. Compare to the 17x7 stock wheels with 215 Prius tires, this new set up has so much higher limit in the grip. But it will be harder for me to master at the track, since it kinda "snaps" when I push it too hard. The stock set up was extremely predictable and easy to counter steer and correct the angle.

But yeah, it's a whole new car. Plenty of publications have stated that simply changing out the stock tires to stickier summer tires made the car to pull +1G in the skidpad easy. I believe it now. I can feel the difference in body roll. The car definitely gives out more body roll due to much higher grip in the corners.

Dude, YES...those rs05rr made my dk hard as fk when I saw them.
Translation. I like those wheels.

I don't want to have to go THAT aggressive, but they're so effing nice, I think they'll look fantastic on the S2000...if only I could get sponsored...I'd promise them nice pictures...and sales!

Yeah, those new Enkei ones are extremely hard to find and you have to wait at least 3-4 months go to get a set from Japan. I would just forget about them for now.

Yes. The extra width on a 245 is very nice, but the biggest difference is going from fuel-efficiency oriented Prius tires to tires with some grip to them. Funny thing is, the window sticker says the vehicle is equipped with summer performance tires

Yep, swapping to 215 sticky tires make a huge difference anyway too.
