Yeah, you need a MBP with 2-finger right click enabled.

I wish I had used the GF-1 more - a lot more - there is some good stuff on there. I was kinda snapping it randomly so that was more of a candid flair.

LOL what a crock of sh*t. first get this email, wanting to make it sound all personal and all (there was no text this morning) - only 3 photographers my ass:
Hey you, I texted you as well this morning however I wanted to ask here too. Are you going to make it to the Egyptian Themed Photo event this Saturday noon-6pm at the VFW?

I see that there are a ton of models that are going to be there and only 3 photographers.

Also let me know if you know of a large 1O,OOOsf or so space we could shoot future events in.

We are working on building capital to build sets for future events, our next event is going to be steam punk and we are going to use the money made from this event to build sets for that one.

Please let me know!!!
I click the link because I was curious and see this - look at the entry costs - LOL...

i dont get it, is it like a workshop or something where you learn to take pictures? or just a place to go and take pictures?

and im guessing you still have to work out individual releases with the models as well?

did you read anything I posted?

its a casual event for models to dress up Egyptian theme, females = free, males = $15 and if you want to take PICTURES, its $40 for you.

maybe it doesn't have the same impact on you as it does me -

I think it depends... for Rubin, he gets to do photo shoots with hot girls all the time, or at least more than most of us can say... So, for him to have to pay, I can see his point. For me, I would pay for the experience

...in fact, last month, I went to Vancouver's Auto Show in hopes to take some pics of some hot car show girls and it was the WORST auto show I've ever been to, in terms of the cars they had to present, and there were ZERO car show girls, I wanted to leave after 30 minutes

I just agreed to photograph a 3 year old's birthday party on Saturday for a friend. No pay, just a favor for a buddy.

First half in a Build a Bear, second half ~45 people in a restaurant.

Any tips from people who do this a lot? Please?

Friend does not want ANY editing. He wants snapshot type pictures. Asked me to do JPG only (he just doesn't care) and give him the images that day if possible.

SO.... I finally took the plunge, Upgraded from my old Sonny f828. Picked up a 60D & Tamron 18-270 as a walkaround. Obviously not a pro-body, but it works great & it does the job for me. Just off the bat any suggested reading material and or web/tutorials I can crash-course through?

Haha, no flaming on the tamron prease.

Triod, many people (including me) found Understanding Exposure (B. Peterson) really helpful.
