i cant believe how much my eyes have matured in the last 2 years. I mean I still do the distorted stuff but now a) I know its distorted and b) I want it that way (usually because of the fisheye or panoramics). But look at this shot from 2008 which I used to think was really good - its horrible! I never noticed the slanted buildings until just today! lol. If I did this shot today, I would use Shift-N to straighten it.

Creepy guy in the mirror.
Really interesting video...
I have been finding myself needing motivation to shoot lately. I have been carrying around a 5DmkII for a few weeks now on loan and just haven't been shooting. It seems like every shot I make is a snapshot - not a photo. It is a little depressing... I feel like life is sucking the life right out of me to the point where I can't see anything interesting.

definitely been there. my advice, try something youve never tried before. it could be an aperture, FL, angle, vantage point, processing techniques, its endless really. go somewhere youve never been before. perhaps an indoor convervatory, or museum, or mall, something like that. just trying to help.

he keeps claiming that he's a noob and I looked at the other pics he's uploaded and there isn't a "set".. you would think he took more pics of this model. I'm pretty sure he's in South East Asia, and I dunno...and it's some hawt white girl Which led me to think that perhaps he took a picture of a poster or something out of a magazine(?)

For those of us into urbex...

The underground photographer likes to explore abandoned buildings - dark, decrepit places, such as the old pathology office on the edge of the campus that once housed D.C. General Hospital.
Through an unlocked door he crept - flashlight in hand, camera around his neck - down a hallway, into an office, where he made a discovery that has sent shivers to the highest reaches of the District's police department.
Inside a container, beneath a label that read "Babies that have been Autopsied," the photographer saw what he is convinced are the remains of a young human life.
A "human baby," he said. "With fingernails, hair, eyelashes, everything."
On Thursday, after speaking to and texting with the photographer, Police Chief Cathy L. Lanier dispatched a search team, which found what he had discovered.

Yeah, saw that last week, not surprised that D.C. couldn't clean out human remains from a building that was being shuttered.

got a bent pin in the 7D memory card slot last night cards won't go in all the way. I've tried computer tools to fix - no luck its too tight a space. just my luck, I've been using CF cards in cameras for 10 years now and this is the first time I've had any trouble like this, and its right before I travel
I was driving home after a photo shoot w/ my trainer friend last night and she wanted to look at the photos in the car so she could make a note of which ones she liked - they were on 2 cards. After she looked at the first one, I handed her the 2nd card, and she is moderately technical (but not really I don't think) but I was kind of like, I think she can figure this out. I guess I was wrong. I figure, its karma getting back to me. I've surely broken enough stuff in my childhood lol. but anyways, gonna try to get it fixed at a local shop.
