My Moo frame

Wanted to take a quick image of my Moo frame. Each "business" card is an actual image of mine. The reverse has my name, e-mail address and my flickr and flickr river web addresses.

Got 100 cards for $20, the frame was $30, a little much but I wanted it.

The image was taken at like ISO 800 with a p&s, so that the grain "noise" you see.

They are called "mini" cards, like a stick of gum. Heavy board.

Neat frame... I've been using and handing out moo cards for a little over a year. People love 'em. Plus it's great having people log into flickr later and comment on photos of themselves that I took in the streets.

Yea I thought that too, but I'm sure the design dates back to something we don't know about

I think older cameras looked different. I do think the design came primarily from the G11. It's quite different than anything else in Nikon's lineage.

I love the F buttons on my Nikons, one it set for me to change from FF, to 1.5 crop to 5x4, on my D3s

TSA story, seems they realize that push a little too hard. Cooler weather is coming and I will be in my hoodie soon...

This is a great image with color, comp, focus and exposure.

Too bad Yashica isn't a player now. Sounds like a word for Mortal Kombat,

thanks bud, I didn't even crop it or do much of anything. I did some color balance but not much (it had yellowed). I brightened it a bit (but that has more to do with scanner settings). This is a scan using a circa late 90's consumer scanner.

You should see the Westinghouse AP1000 setup being built at the Vogtle plant in Georgia. No physical switches, all computer operated DCS systems.

I'm pretty sure they have a few panels for auxilliary systems and emergency shut down.

I would get some cool photos next time I'm in a nuclear power station control room, but they usually don't want that stuff out for the people to see.

Which makes no sense. Why would photos of a room with control panels and stuff be a security risk? You probably wouldn't even be able to see what the labels say. Wooo, a room with computer monitors and buttons - can't let the terrorists see that!

the scenery, not as impressed by that just because, if you watch many modern movies, they have had high dynamic range in their scenes for a while now. Not sure how they do it, it may be a mix of some CGI and other processing, or just the extended range of new-generation cameras (like we see similarly on D700, D3, D300, 7D, 5D2, etc).

Has anyone ever replaced their focusing screen? I can't function with the built-in screen. I would like to switch to a split screen. Before I drop the $$ I want to see if anyone has experience in how they work.
