yeah could have been - the frame didn't look the best quality. but he appeared to be responsible for them - it really bugged me.

I've been Canonized ;)
That explanation sounds reasonable. A cheap 8x10 frame is $10. Frame, paper and time to produce would be much, much more. If you had bought it, you would probably be wondering now, if you bought someone's stolen work.

Alright.. I'm thinking of getting a monopod for car shooting.. I rarely use my tripod due to me being too lazy..
My boss just bought this manfrotto one for like 130 bucks and i really like it alot! It's so much handier than a tripod..
Do you guys own any monopod before? Any recommendation? I don't need a fancy one!

JS, what kind of head was on the monopod when you tried it? Also, when you say "car shooting" are you referring to taking pictures of cars or taking pictures from cars?

it says manfrotto 234rc on the head and the bottom part is manfrotto 680b.
i was referring to taking pictures of cars. I'd like to shoot my cars during that golden hour alot, and the monopod would help me getting the fully focused images..

You may want to consider looking int a small ball head instead of a basic tilt head like the 234.
The reason I asked about 'of cars' vs. 'from cars' is that if you're taking pictures of cars, you're likely going to want to be changing the height of your shots quite a bit. When push comes to shove you may find that making the height adjustments on your monopod ends up invoking the "lazy factor" nearly as much as using a tripod. Of course, if you're just looking for an excuse to buy something, there's nothing wrong with that.
BTW, take a peek at the Manfrotto 685B monopod. Relative to other monopods it's big and heavy. You may find the ease of height adjustment worth it though. It's definitely still less bulk to carry around than a tripod.

My tripod is HUGE and very heavy.. My boss gave it to me for free because he bought a new one. The one he gave me is Manfrotto too and works well, but it's so heavy... granted he bought it like 15 years ago.

Manfrotto 685 looks pretty cool, but its like 170 bucks just for the leg..
Manfrotto 680 series is like 50 bucks!
Now what's a good small ball head from manfrotto?

does anyone know a good flickr uploader program for Windows where I can upload any file from any hard drive / directory to flickr, saving me the hassle of having to hunt for it in flickr or making a copy of it to the desktop or wherever and then uploading it? oh also, I need to be able to set Moderate rating when uploading... I tried a few today and failed miserably. I tried one called Flickr Sendto which added flickr to the Windows "Send To" menu - it seemed promising and worked as advertised, however it would not let me set Moderate on upload...

LR3 has flickr uploading built right in... really cool - workflow from import to posting all in one app is useful. It's simplified things for me.
Speaking of flickr, I made an infographic with 2010's first half stats pulled using the flickr API with a Java app I made... I'm no graphic designer, so it's a little messy:

how do you deal with sharpening, out of LR? that's the obstacle I'd have - although with the 7, I don't think it's as big a factor, I mean I could get away with LR's sharpening.
