Had a crazy wedding shoot for a friend yesterday! I did the ceremony and the reception then got invited out for the after party with their families. That was the most fun I've ever had at a wedding, especially for being the photographer.

played with a D3S last night, it felt really nice.

actually some of you may remember, this one other photog dude at the club, who started with a D80, then he got a D300, then a D700, now he is using the D3S.

you can hit up those escort service chicks @ "backpage.com" and tell them that they'll get more "business" with better pictures... Maybe you can barter with them

before he became a movie director, Stanley Kubrick was a photojournalist. Here are photos he took of Chicago in 1949.

why do you need to make money (wanting a job) in order to want to keep your gear? I understand slumps of not shooting, but maybe think of a project to do, not necessarily a job...

I usually give myself some kind of "assignment". Or I'll pick a lens and say "Today, I'm just going to use ONLY this lens".

I dunno it reminded me of In the Mood for Love by WKW. I guess one man's horror movie is another man's romance.

It takes some getting used to, but a steady finger and the right zoom level helps.

I do 100% of my editing on my laptop with the trackpad. I can't imagine using a PC laptop trackpad, though. Ouch.

I have a Dell and it must have a sh*tty trackpad because for certain functions (such as drawing selections) it is completely unusable - the pointer doesn't even track properly. I'll show you. And one of the biggest things I miss is the scroll wheel, I use that A LOT for zooming and it is completely vital to my workflow. Another thing that really bugs me is like for using the clone tool it feels so awkward to point the clone source with the Alt key and then to click to select it with the track mouse. I'm just not used to it but I don't want to get used to it. It must be a bad trackpad or something because I was ready to pull my hair out using it uggh its horrible. ok im done bitching lol
