do you think the Low-light ISO measures mean anything? I mean, can we look at that chart and say that the D3s is considerably better low-light performance than the IV?

It means something, but not much anything. The pixels on the D3S are bigger, so they will collect more light.

What the fuck?!
Yeah because I often have a need for a quick tactical camera holster when switching between my sidearm and my SLR.

If you go to dxomark.com, the Nikon D5000 beats everything Canon has ever made, except for the 1Ds3 and 5D2. Why spend $6500 when $650 gets you the same thing?!

The D5000 Shopping Guide

Just in case you were cross shopping these three cameras and having trouble deciding, the sensors are all equal:

The point is to allow you full use of your hands/arms while you aren't shooting. Mainly for hiking, scrambling or when you just have more than one camera and need a place to put it quickly.

Granted, they look fairly dorky (at least the chest holster), but I've seen many great reviews for them. If you're willing to endure the odd stares and possible questions you'll get while wearing one, you'd probably be happy with it.

the person who posted the video said this:

There was a significant spike in video views recently, and a lot of mixed criticisms. I don't care if people view the as video dumb. It was never meant to be serious.

But I'm pretty annoyed that people never bothered to read the product review I wrote that this video was attached to, originally.

Read the review (see link in the video description). I know it's a lot easier to watch 49 seconds of video than it is to read a 1000 words. Think of it as maintaining your literacy.

So I did some theorizing.

If you watch the video, and what he does in it (pull a gun out and fire shots in between taking photos) - and then read he said 'it was never meant to be serious', what do you think it was supposed to be? That's right. It was supposed to be FUNNY.

If you read his review about the cotton carrier and then watch the video maybe your opinion will be different??

like he was saying the video wasn't supposed to be by itself. It's for his review.

well out of those I would say 5D2. I would say 1DIII but I think jupe's constant bitching about it is in the back of my head.

Yea, I get that too about the 1DIII, but man I just love the AF and ruggedness of the 1D/s series.

In terms of IQ, I should go with the 5DII thou.

Why? Not too long ago you were thinking of selling everything and just give up on photography. Now you want to upgrade. Have you been shooting lately?

Miz - with all due respect, you seem to easily get caught up in upgrade fever based on desires, not need. What features are you missing in your current gear? Are you missing shots because you are limited by these features? Did we have this conversation before?

Fine...

It was really based on the fact that I have 2 Cameras when I don't need 2 cameras anymore. So I was thinking of selling my 2 cameras and just getting 1 sweet ass camera from the sale of my 2 cameras.

But yea I know I get caught up on my desires to upgrade. It's just I like gadgets and like having good stuff

ohh well I won't ask here anymore.
