Woops, I posted those when I was on my big monitor. They do look large on my laptop. I really wish Flickr just had some pre fab bulletin board link to share sets. That way you could post 10 pictures and people that didn't want to see them wouldn't have to scroll through them all.

I did not renew my Flickr Pro account.
Is there any way to keep from getting the banner reminder EVERY time I go to flickr that I can renew it (without the obvious renewal)?

I had had my eye on the Canon 9000F for a good while and kept putting it off, glad I did because I checked again recently and saw they have a "Mark II" model - so that's what I got. It works well.
oh my, that sucks. it almost seems like some kind of manipulative practice to get you to pay!!

I was briefly looking at film/negative scanners and that was the one I was eying...
Now, I only need to load an actual roll of film into my camera. I tend to plan the gear long before I actually need it...

Curious has anyone dabbled in IR photography?

Converted, it's the only way to do it. Screw on filters can be use without converted camera, but your exposure time goes goes into the minutes. And then it's a guessing game to get the right correct exposure.

Would it be similar to using a 10 stop nd? Where you Meter the scene then do the calculations adjust your exposure then put your filter on?

My first Avatar....
Anyone ever consider the Sony Rx10 vs. the Canon 6D?
Eventually I'm going to want to go FF for landscape/portraiture.
Thoughts?
Edit:
Is that FF?

I have considered the RX10 briefly, I think it would be nice to have the RX100 sensor in a bigger camera with a wider zoom range. But the price is kind of a buzzkill.

What's your guys experience with tripods and carry on?
Will they let you bring it in by itself or in a bag?
Or they make you check it in?

and I think it may even a matter of the decision by that particular TSA working, if he/she is in a shitty mood... yeah, will probably be a dick/bitch to everyone.
I would think they hate dealing with lost luggages/items... especially when they are pricy... so by turning their cheeks on certain items and allowing them on board reduces lost items = less headaches just my

Similar, yes, but all camera are different when it comes to how strong the filter is on your camera, not the screw on filter, but the filter built into your camera. Some people say they can use a screw on filter and needs just 20 or 30 seconds, but I've never found that possible, nor anyone that I've shot with.

I had a Minolta back a long time ago where there was a housing you could mount to the front of the lens and you could put up to three filters in at the same time. The filters where glass and took some great pics with them. Took a sec. to put them in. Some had certain effects. For ex. starburst, soft tones and colored with a few of them having half color and half clear for shots that had half sky in them. Also had card slots for portrait and landscape shots that are now on the dial of newer cameras.

I should specify, he was not doing it as a photoshoot, just taking photos of her with a cell phone.
