srika, I like the selective color idea.
however I think the strong contrast with the hand and the bottle keeps drawing my eye there and away from the stream of tequila into the shot glasses where I want to be looking. wonder how it would look if the bottle was b&w too...

luckily I do have the PSD file saved..
and I don't use masks, I use the eraser.. dunno if that's harder or easier, I just like doing it that way

let's keep in mind we are not shooting for Pulitzer prizes in here, this is more of a casual thread for sharing shots that have interested us. I'm not saying don't critique things, I'm just saying it's kind of understood that we are not posting our BEST work in here. We may even post totally pointless shots in here and that is OK. If it's a shot we are proud of and like to think it's among our best, that goes in the "Favorite photos" thread. Obviously none of this is written in stone.

I like your first shot. 2nd shot the side of the car looks kinda weird and 3rd the sky looks dim.

I hear ya on #2. The filter gives some interesting effects. I may work on #3 again. I layered the car and brightened it up. Kept the background dim intentionally, but may need a second look......
