Tesla: Sales, Marketing, and Financial News

The remaining 5 years is for those who are buying ICE cars now to phase them out.
If you are having blackouts now, then you should consider buying Tesla solar panels and powerwalls. Tesla panels are already the cheapest in US now. No more monthly payments and no more blackouts.

That's where solar and wind power comes in but that's another conversation.

Well yah the we all know the solution... but unless the government is on board and we actually start investing in infrastructure,
Tesla's fanboys fantasy of 5 years or 10 years plan is just that a fantasy...
as far as blackout and solar panels... ,, HOA has something to do about it... another topic...

It's a supposed free market - all it takes is a company that's serious about solar to put out a product for the masses. Many HOAs in my area have been opening up to solar as well. If I planned on staying in my house more than 7 years I'd consider it; my roof is perfect for it.

Once our financial situation improves, I'd like to upgrade the solar on our house.
We've currently got a 1.5Kw 4-panel system that's about 7 years old.

FWIW, the C8 Corvette uses a extremely large casting for the entire rear engine/transaxle that is cast by GM's exclusive casting inhouse capability.
None the less I was skeptical of the Tesla mega-casting

beware that telsa has a racket with roof panels for solar. A buddy with a 5 year old roof (new construction house) was told his roof was not in good enough shape for the Tesla Panels and was quoted 30K by tesla for a new roof. Total ripoff considering the roof isn't in rough shape, under warranty and a new roof should only cost about 10-12K in FL.

Was that $30k including the panels?

Yeah there should be good competition to reduce the prices, but as I understand one of the competitor started using Tesla products.

I dont know from where he pulled these numbers. It is time that Federal Reserve only support those firms that are built with 100% (Technology, Material and labor built inside US) with only export allowed at real profit.
Alternative just need to look around bit outside to get idea where things are going

This is the best video I’ve seen that explains my thoughts on why I’m all in on Tesla.
https://youtu.be/DS09pSp9uwU
their stock was around $300 when this video was released now it’s almost $1400. Imagine how much more money you’d have if you listened to me when I was putting every dollar I could into Tesla when it was dropping down to $200.
i think there’s a good chance they post a profit for Q2 which means they would qualify for the S&P. It’s not to late to invest, and I’ve been saying for a while put all your money into Tesla, I did. I’m doing pretty pretty pretty good

Y'all are just throwing an amazing, life-changing opportunity away
I'm over here screaming from the mountaintops for the past couple years to invest in Tesla, providing all sorts of reasons why, all of them are coming true. Then a decade later you'll look back and say that you should've invested, I wish I would've known. LMAO

Hit 1997 at some point today.
Don’t forget the split at 2100. .
I had my RDX 80k mile service recently which cost me around $1500. That’s still better than spending $50k on a new car. I’d rather keep that money in TSLA for now. .

I think one reason Tesla selected Austin,TX for Gigafactory is that may be they can send the cars easily to Mexico and other Central American countries whenever that market opens up and production bottlenecks have been cleared. The trade agreement works both ways right? It’ll be fun to watch.
I can imagine Giga Austin easily churning out 2-3 million cars annually.

i always wondered, when you're playing those games that use the steering wheel, do the actual wheels still turn or nah?

They do. But you don't have to turn the wheel much to get a response in game

Don't underestimate Tesla and Elon. They might show up with a bunch of rabbits under their hat like every time.
As @oonowindoo suggested that we are Fanboys living in Fantasy land. But if Elon didn't have the wildest fantasies we would still be looking at the ICE mpg figures and engine noise, oil changes, dealership rip offs, and insane prices for performance variants in cars, and waiting for another 50-100 years for humans to reach Mars.

from how he explained it, roofing only and then they would put the solar panels on vs doing a solar roof tile setup.

I don't go by the standards set by the legacy ICE automakers. That's what is history.

The current state of the price of oil basically kills any chance of EVs being the majority of sales in 5 years.

Yah... that is just 1 of the many many factors that is making his 5 years plan a fantasy....
Those fundamental changes require the top dogs's cooperation and investment. Without government's support, the expansion is very limited.
With the way our government is operating now, we want more drilling, we need more coals, we want to roll back all environmental laws... Environment is not even on their priority list...
They dont even believe climate change is real...
So 5 years?

So this company Ampirus is claiming to have this revolutionary battery using silicon nanowires and acheiving 500wh/kg batteries (Tesla currently around 260wh/kg)
https://www.amprius.com/technology/
Cool, potentially game changing stuff, if true.
Where are they located? The address on their website is 1180 Page Ave, Fremont, CA 94538 USA
I wonder if Tesla is aware of them? Are they near Tesla?
They're directly across the street from Tesla's secret battery R&D facility!

People were wondering what this background image for Tesla's battery day was supposed to signify
Wonder if it has anything to do with silicon nanowires...

Speaking about Tesla’s next-level powertrain, Musk says, “[It’s] mind blowing I think. Yes. Coming out later this year, end of the year probably, that’s our goal. Get powertrain up [by] end of the year and then it’s going to be like — this is like alien technology, it’s insane. … Tesla is all about hardcore engineering.”
