Did you miss the statement of "never depend on Autopilot"? That's a pretty powerful statement.
Also, the car should inform the driver at all times of emergency lights not just when the car is on autosteer.

That is part of human life.... YOU make certain decision and you suffer the consequences.
I would rather have that than putting my life in Elon's hand...
You are more than welcome to give your life to Elon. I would rather control my own life when I am driving.

The advantages of vision based system are slowly coming out. Pretty soon everyone will start switching over from radar / lidar to vision and then claim that they are the leaders in vision based technology (like Ford and GM are trying to say with regards to EVs now).

The number one killer of children worldwide? Human drivers.
Fuck them kids though, right?

That is honestly the dumbest thing I've read all day and it's only 11am.

Exactly what I said, now they will start ditching radars and say that we are already using vision based cameras and are leaders in that technology.

They will? I doubt it. Vision systems are good at one thing and radars are good at others. I still disagree with Tesla's decision to omit radar, it was sold as a benefit when in reality they couldn't source enough radar units to build cars.

Read the report you screenshot that from. The Americas (and that includes Canada, Mexico and South America, have the second lowest death rate in 2016 - 15.6 per 100k.
What this article fails to mention - and the correlation you're trying to make - is the cause of death per 100k. How many of those deaths could really be stopped with autonomous driving (which doesn't exist btw). Speed, maybe. Drunk Driving? Possibly. Seat belt infractions? Nah. Child restraints? Nope. Helmets? Look around Florida. How many idiots don't wear helmets on their motorcycles?
Stop trying to manipulate data to support your halfassed argument.

The root cause of the vast majority of all accidents is the human controlling the vehicle dun goofed, to come one here and try to say otherwise, come on bruh
You ever see someone on a bike just die because they weren't wearing a helmet? Not because they got hit by a car driven by a human at 50MPH and didn't have a helmet, but like no helmet = instant death
LMAO civicdrivr logic....

So human deaths in Asia, Europe, Africa, Australia don't matter? The fuck? Seat belt, child restraints, and helmet-related deaths would be reduced because there'd be fewer accidents, you only die from not wearing your seat belt when you crash, if you don't wear your seat belt and don't crash then you don't die. The crash was highly likely to be caused by a human except for crazy instances like lightning strikes, tornadoes, or a tree falling on your car. So yeah seat belt, child restraint, and helmet deaths would be reduced because there'd be fewer accidents.

talk about extremism.... Someone please tell his guy that if you are on a bike and got hit by a car at 50mph... YOU can wear the biggest helmet on the planet and you will still die.
We should also get rid of human as leaders of the country.. cuz all they have done is kill other human...
Let's install AI to control all human... cuz human kill human..
All imperfection of human should be eliminated, so we need computer to do our jobs...
Where have i seen movies like this before...

Volvo announces vegan leather interior
Now where have I seen it before…
https://www.reuters.com/business/aut...1-09-23/LONDON,
Sept 23 (Reuters) - Swedish carmaker Volvo Cars said on Thursday that its vehicle range will go leather-free or 'vegan-friendly' by 2030, offering instead bio-based and recycled materials to a customer base that increasingly wants sustainably sourced products.
"We've got a new generation of customers coming through, they're far more interested in the products they buy and having an ethical story behind them," Robin Page, Volvo's head of design, told Reuters. "They want to understand where the materials come from."
Volvo said the shift recognises customer concerns over animal welfare issues in the leather industry and the environmental impacts of cattle farming.
It also coincides with the sustainable aspirations of Volvo's plan to offer an all-electric car lineup by 2030.

So after trolling Tesla for so long, he finally got the memo.
Well all I can say is the first step in success is to admit your failures. Then understand it. Look at ways to get rid of the UWA and dealership baggages. Their massive debt and ICE technology sunk costs is a drag, and then address technology deficiency with regards to batteries and software. Now they realize, how far behind they are even to Volkswagen, forget about Tesla.
Ford got to start somewhere anyways.

What's considered the worlds most dangerous road is located in India - the Zoji La. How is autonomous driving going to work here?
You continually jump to the last step in this utopia you want to live in without understanding the steps in between.
