I saw one in person at the Garden Grove Hyundai dealership.. It does look SEXY, just like those VIP style sedans from Japan. Props to Hyundai.

jwaters, congrats! Your car looks terrific! Great move from you to be among the first ones to believe in progress and pull the trigger on one. I saw one a few days ago at the local dealer listed for 36k and the thing looked stunning. Pictures don't compare to the real sight of the thing, looks pretty good. Almost wanted to trade in the M for one

We don't even have them here in MD yet that I know of ... If I were looking for a sedan to replace my MS3 I would definitely consider it. I'm just not ready for one yet

The H one looks too plain and the wings look weird. Not ugly, but it reminds me of fish scales for some reason.

Hyundai offers scorching deal on Genesis leases

To lure buyers towards the all-new 2009 Hyundai Genesis luxury sedan, the Korean automaker is aggressively pricing lease programs. Traditional Hyundai customers choose to lease about 10-12 percent of the time. The Genesis, however, is aimed at a more upscale buyer -- a segment that tends to lease more often (according to Hyundai's estimates, 50 percent of the Genesis customers will lease the new sedan). To drive sales, the standard six-cylinder model, with a base price of about $33,000, will lease for $399/month (24-month lease with $2,199 due at signing). It's a deal that undercuts the Cadillac CTS by nearly $150/month, according to a retailer who sells both. With 80 percent of customers expected to choose the V6 model (we would too), the lease program is bold enough to drive traffic. In case you were wondering, the V8 model won't be in showrooms for another month, and by that time the lease program will have expired.

I'd rather have perpetual car payments and drive something I like than pay off a car and drive it for 10 years ... At least I haven't found a car yet that I could consider owning that long.

Probably why I'm single too

That's a nice ass car. Do we get the Genesis logo here in America or do we get that H logo? (Which will look ugly on the genesis)

400hp, RWD V8 luxury.....at such a low price....I fear they will fill the streets up quickly with everyone driving one lol.

Ya know.... I said this 1 billions times but that grill is the killer design. It blends with the rest of the car so well. I hate the current US version, the one with waterfall-like design. Ugly as f#@k.....

My parents are *thinking* about getting a Genesis BH380. If I were to get one it would be the V8 and order the grill(shown in pic above) from Korea. Ditch that crappy waterfall looking grill and put this on... and put the Genesis wing on the front hood and rear trunk.... That's rite baby.

Whatever you're smoking I would like to try out.

Also the build quality on the TL will be crap. They use too much cheap quality parts too. Hyundai Genesis not only looks much more handsome but will also trump the TL in build quality, fit and finish.

LOLz

Have you even seen the U.S. grill in person? The reason why I ask is because everyone who has seen it in person has stated how great the grill looks, especially compared to the pictures.

As for the grill you are showing, that grill should make it to the U.S. once the U.S.-Spec Genesis gets adaptive cruise control a few months from now. Supposedly a cooled passenger seat and adaptive cruise are coming soon, but both may be reserved for the V8 model only.

I went to Ourisman Hyundai in Laurel, MD today and they had a silver Genesis sedan sitting outside. $36,000 but then the dirtbags added $4995 in markup to the car.

The Genesis isn't as big as I thought it would be. It looks like it isn't bigger than a 5-series which is a good thing to me.

I am going to go test drive one this weekend. I hope I can find a dealer that has one for driving.

Me? I thought it was appropriately unobtrusive. The rest of the car is simply so fantastic even in the sand beige metallic-esque color I saw that I didn't even think twice about it.
