Those pics were taken at one of the locations listed at the bottom of this page:

We need to find out which location it is and get people posted there with cameras ready!

Looks vanilla so far.

I wonder if those machined looking wheels are standard or an upgrade. I think they look much better then the current standard wheels. Also, I agree it looks kind of vanilla, but it still has more style then the current TSX. Plus, we know you really need to invest a bit in some accessories to "finish" an Acura. Wheels, underbody kit, etc. Acura just doesn't roll their cars off the assembly line complete IMO. But, that's another thread

Thats the problem I'll likely have with it. Looks a lot like the current gen TL IMO. Pleasing to the eye but it really doesn't stand out.

I agree with that statement. When a car manufacturer goes out and does something bold half the crowd flames them for it. When they go with current trends in styling, they get beat up for that by the other half.
Can't make everyone happy.

(and the MDX is an example of the wheels just not fitting the size and looks of the car.)
so i'd like to see the TSX keep its tastefulness. it's not the most striking car on the road, and nor was it when first released. but it's still a sharp looking car, in my opinion.

Honda already said it will debut in Geneva in March - I see no reason to change that.

Am I the only one who doesn't see much resemblance between this car and the teaser pics of the Euro Accord released last week?
The TSX may not share its styling with the Euro Acord this time around.
I'm really hoping it doesn't.

What are the chances Acura will be putting a 5spd AT in this car, and not a 6spd AT?

Pretty sure dealer order info for new TSX thats been posted had 6MT and 5AT listed. So slim to none as far as the 6AT goes.

I hope it turns out to look like the Euro Accord concept by the time it hits showroom floors.

I like Honda's recent direction with regards to how the wheels fit into the the wheelwells. More specifically, the lack of wheel gap. It was one thing that always bothered me about their older cars. Thats probably what help lead to the large number of lowered hondas in the past.

Patience, patience
From what we see (which is very little) I think it looks good. The same basic shape and design appears to be intact. "If it ain't broke..."
However, I love it how some (not necessarily in this particular thread) are throwing fits as if this new model is hideous. We all know how Acura works--evolution, not revolution. With the great success of the TSX, we know that Acura would play it safe and provide for a bolder looking evolution on the current TSX. And what is so wrong with this? The TSX, as is, looks great and holds it own against the newer competition.
Further, I don't feel it's appropriate for me to make such a bold judgement off of the pictures we have; all we see is the basic shape...no real significant styling cues are revealed. We're really at a loss because we cannot see any detail in the headlamps or tail-lamps, which play a SIGNIFICANT role in setting the overall design feel for the vehicle. And how about the interior--no real pictures yet. Again, another key to setting the "feel" (or emotion) of the design.
And as with all designs, it may take some getting used to. I know I didn't have strong feelings for the TL or the RL when they initially debuted--both were rather bland, in my opinion. Now, however, I think both are strong, while conservative, designs.
I'm done ranting--I'm gonna be patient and save final judgements for the Geneva debut (and the New York debut).
I realize this rant may not apply to the majority, so no offense implied. This happens with every new iteration.

From those pics one could assume the new EuroAccord is already coming off the assembly line. That would make sense since it should be available with a couple of weeks of the Geneva intro and April 24 here.
As for the looks, it's hard to tell but so far so good. Even if the US TSX has the horrible RL grill it could be replaced by the much nicer looking Honda one seen in these pics.

The average person won't be bothered with changing out parts, so Honda will just lose the sale. I hope for their sake (and ours) that the TSX has a better looking grille or that it flows better with the car.
Why is it that somehow most makers can have decent designs outside of the US but USDM models get the shaft when it comes to looks?
Honda couldn't screw up the TSX since it would have serious consequences for sales in Europe, so hopefully the only potential problem will be the grill.

Like I said, the sheet metal is OK and the grill can be fixed with the EuroAccord one - tho depending on the final look of the grill it might not be needed.

I like the latest set of spy shots, looks like the 2G TSX will be an evolutionary design, which isn't bad because the 1G looks great. I think the new Acura grill has the potential to look decent if the rest of the car flowed with it, unlike the RL which is just a mash of stuff thrown together.

I swear to god those wheels better not see the light of day of an Acura showroom.
The guy in charge of wheel selection should have been canned years ago. WTF, who thinks those wheels look good. Wake up Honda.
Other than that, lots of potential here. As much I I like the styling of the current gen, this looks much better overall. I nice evolution. Lets hope the power plant(s) doesn't disappointed.
