I love the view from the rear. Just not sure about the view from the side. Looks like a big car.

Looks OK with less cladding. Not enough to pull me out of my RL, but good enough to sell like hotcakes.

I don't know, still not sure about this one. Not really feeling the rear end, how everything seems to be in a "V" shape. I'll withhold judgment till the camo comes off.

^ Exactly..... I too hate V. You expressed it extremely well. I think the 3rd gen TL design will look better than the 4th gen.

Could end up looking like a giant version of the new grille, which we can tell is gonna be on this car as well. The backs of the TSX and updated RL look great though, so I think this one will look good too.

wouldn't it be hilarious at the rate of rising gas prices that the 2nd gen TSX will outsell the 4th gen TL?

Yeah, but the TL-S won't be out for another few years, and all it really is is a sport tuned version of the existing car. It's purpose is really to just keep things fresh. Bigger engine, upgraded brakes, sport suspension and slightly different looks? If Acura wanted to design an enthusiast car, these would have been options from the very beginning.

I will give them credit for offering the SH-AWD though. That's gonna help a lot in giving the car a sports image. We can all agree that they need to rid all their cars of FWD and this is at least a start. We may not get what all that we want out of this new generation, but I bet that front wheel drive will be nowhere in sight of the next generation after these.
I see where you are coming from.

And for the 335i, i believe it's 275whp, 300wtq. With that said, it would be interesting to see what's going to happen when other companies start turbo charging their 3.5L engines.

How would it be hilarious? Comsumers are getting more and more stingy with their money since most of the populations disposable income is getting smaller and smaller since its going to gas. I had an 09' TSX rental and I was averaging 26-27 MPG in the city! Thats pretty damn good...and I think the N/A 4 Cyl will bring a lot of attention to consumers who want an entry level luxury car with great gas mileage.

Yeah, however BMW is getting those numbers out of a 3.0L

And you know what, all BMW will have to do to keep up is ramp up the boost on their engine and maybe slightly upgrade the internals

Right, and the same concept is why I see way too many TSXs around. It's for people who want a luxury car that handles great and has great mileage but don't care as much about who they can beat at a stop light. Or me, who was a sucka and overlooked the LGT

lol LGT?? My friend has one, other than the fuel economy, it's an awesome car! It's funny cause he likes my car (2nd gen TL-S), and I like his.

Not feeling the rear end... I just never liked the edge between the bumper and trunk that alot of cars have lately... I like the smooth transition of early honda/acura models, but I guess acura wants to go with a "edgy" look

it's like they took the front grille shape, and put it on the back of the car... just making it bigger...

You know what, I kind of like it from that angle. For some reason the guillotine grill look doesn't work, but I like it when they apply it to the trunk. Lights remind me of the new Accord, of course, but much better looking. Overall that car looks way better than the new Accord sedan (at least from that angle)

I like it. With the lease being up on my 07 AV6 in 18 months, this will enter the running as a replacement...assuming it looks anything like this.

Costco, what you stated pretty much also applies to the 6G and 7G Accords versus its 3.2TL/TL counterpart.

Yup. I think the taillights will actually look more like the refreshed RL and the new TSX - that is, it'll have some sort of triangular dip on the lower edge, rather than these Civic coupe looking lights.

Now I'm starting to like it. Like others have been saying already, the new Acura's look nice from 3/4 back, but the fronts just come out with the grill. Maybe 3rd times the charm with that.

I remember when the new BMW 5 series came out after the 7 series and there was talk about them butchering the 3 series, but it came out all right. I'm hoping that's the case here after the RL and TSX. Crossing my fingers. . .

I think people are too trigger happy here. I think the TL will end up looking real good. Even with that power phlegm grille.

I think the next TL will look alright, even with the grill. The RL though, looks like shit. The difference though is the TL and TSX were designed all-new with this grille, so looks better incorporated into the body. The RL was "updated" with the grille, and it definitely shows.

Whether people like it or not (I'm up in the air about the TSX and TL until I see them more often in the real world, except for the new RL which will look hideous), at least it's a bold move coming from a brand like Acura.

More aggressive than the 3g TL thank goodness hopefully with more pics the new TL does not look boring like the previous gens have.

too bad that they have to keep making it even bigger and longer. there's nothing sporty in that anymore. if they made it the same size as the current TL or 2nd gen TSX lengthwise maybe just 2 inches longer it would be great! even the 09 maxima is smaller than the current maxima.

A Reach. Way more Maxima and GS in the TL's design.
