Will the interior look like an Accord with some fake wood trim thrown in?

Or will we finally see a new interior design direction for Acura?

I think they said it's just N/A 4 cylinder. Well, it's a new one but still N/A 4 cylinder. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yea...as far as I know it will be a new 2.4 NA engine, no boost. 2.0T MIGHT be coming later but not this year. We will see.

Turbo...from Honda??

Nope. It's always been NA 4 cyl.

Sure everyone else in the class has at least a turbo 4...but you know....Honda knows better.

I talk to the owner of Valley motors here in Salem. He owns both Mercedes and the Acura dealership in Salem. He said they could use the turbo 4 they have in the Euro civic type r.

My dad's friend's son's cousin said he may be able to swap the new NSX engine in the TLX too.

You forgot to type in red color.

The new RLX hybrid engine will be a better fit and less work, because both the RLX and the TLX are running on a FWD chassis.

If they replace 2.4 with a 2.0T making no more then 220hp I'm going to be angry.. Mostly because the 2.0T will most likely sound like shit. Stupid EPA.

I spoke with Jane Fonda, who ain't got a motor in the back of her Honda and she said there will be a turbo-6 with an electric supercharger for torque fill. 400hp for the TLX and that is on 87 octane gas and an 11.7 second 1/4 on emergency spare donuts.

I'm thinking Consumer Reports is wrong given that everything Acura has said since the day they unveiled the concept is that the 4-cyl will be NA.

Bring a Type S and don't wait for the MMC eSH-AWD hybrid power plant 30mpg combined, low 13s in the quarter, competitive handling, 350-370+hp there you go.

Suddenly CR is the bible of breaking auto news!

Agreed, turbo 4 in the base TLX makes no sense since it will be bumping up against the almighty powah of the Earth Dreams 3.5.

So now Acura is going the German route and not have leather in the base car? What kind of pleather does Acura have?

I don't doubt that the Civic Type R's 2.0T engine will fit the TLX. But that's not happening this year. Acura stated many times that at launch, it will be 2.4 I4 and 3.5 V6. A detuned version of the 2.0T might come with around 250hp and slot in between the 2.4 I4 and 3.5 V6 in the future.

It started with the Canadian TSX back in 2009 (if you don't count the Canadian only CSX, EL, and the old RSX). And I believe 2013 ILX base also did not have leather seats.

Some times the leatherette of some car makers is immensely better than the leather of other makes.

Leatherette has come a long way, while some of the leather that passes for "leather" seats is absolutely horrible stuff...that barely covers two seating surfaces.

Do you have a source?

Not too surprising considering the TL SH-AWD Advance is 45-46k, and the TLX Advance seems to come with more then the TL Advance

Recently we learned how much profit Porsche makes per car. I wonder how much Honda makes at this price. For example you can get $10k off the FWD RLX but I bet they are not taking a loss.

My source is Acura.com

Check out their contest to win a TLX, then review the fine print.

It also jives with what I've been told, that the top tier TLX will be just under $50k.
