I like it too, looks like they have a cubby under the center stack again. Cup holders without a cover is a pet peeve of mine, but I know it won't bother 90% of the people out there.

The one strange thing I see is the shift knob, wasn't it supposed to be getting the same electronic gear selector from the RLX and NSX? It looks like half of it is there, but not the entire thing. Otherwise, looks like it would be a decent place to spend the commute.

I don't think so. At least I don't recall that ever being the case.

I prefer that traditional shifter and a hand brake. But it looks like they're going with a electronic parking brake.

Seems to have the concept tails.

I like a thick steering wheel.. one of my favorite parts of BMWs. Then again I have big hands.

Agreed, the interior looks quite nice. Dare I say it appears more premium than the rlx. I imagine the rlx should have nicer materials, its just that this interior looks more appropriate to its class.

As a side note, I had an F30 loaner recently, that interior seems like it took some major cost cutting from my old e92. Too bad

With a bland model like the TLX why bother trying to camo it like that? It attracts even more attention. Put plain plates on it and remove the badges and no one would notice it.

Not enough of an improvement though. They still seem too small in the wheel wells. The design of this car begs for a set of at least 19-inch wheels.

If a small company like Mazda can source a nice looking set of 19s, no reason a huge manufacturer like Honda can't also.

Interior looks "similar" the the Accord.
Same basic layout.

No new interior design language revolution for Acura.

There's two different wheel designs there. The straightforward looking ones are alright. The other one is like some weird ninja star, and not in a good way. Overall I don't see the "red carpet athlete".

Wheels have been an achilles heel for Honda in what seems like forever now. Remember when the 06 TSX came out?

Yep. I was referring to these ones.

The other style seems a bit weird.

The electronic gear selector is probably reserved for the 3.5 SH-AWD model? The model shown might just be a 2.4L model.

Comparatively, those weren't so bad. They were bland, but not offensive. I feel like lately, Acura's wheels border on offensively bad with their rather random multi-tone finishes and odd selection of designs.

It's pretty stupid because some of their concepts have decent wheel designs. They should at least offer them in a sport package. I suspect Honda is not giving them any money to do so.

Hopefully with the splitting off of Acura into it's own division and given more autonomy to make decisions, this will change soon. I hope that they are paying attention to the enthusiast reaction and planning to shock us at NYIAS. I will be there in person to decide for myself and if the TLX disappoints, I already know what car I will be switching to.

Delusions of grandeur

...however if you mean by "shocked" .....a car that is a pale comparison of the concept, then you might get what you wish for.

Call it whatever you want, but not everyone is as jaded and bitter as you.

I am simply not ruling out that the wheel selection is not yet final.

Hey now, those are pretty nice.

Agree. It has a strong resemblance to the dash layout and center console of the RLX and the 2014 MDX.

They're both equally hideous. But is anyone really surprised?

I hope the car doesn't look as in person as it does in those pics.

Why would they be jealous that I did not try to sell you on a 335xi for $38k..

If anything I would have tried to sell you on a G37x in 2010 for $38k...

I'm going to take a wild guess that the interior color choices will be:

Black
Grey
Taupe

Ugh...those wheel designs make me cringe.

Dear Acura, take a lesson from Volvo: a nice set of 19-inch wheels as part of a sport package goes a long way towards giving even normally boring cars a whole different attitude.

I don't really see that much of a difference between the concept and the spy shots. nothing an a-spec kit wouldn't fix.

I wish they would just hire someone new to do their wheel designs. Because whoever does that now isn't cutting it.

Then you really need to get your eyes checked.

Maybe the #s are different but it does not look any smaller than the 4G TL.

Still looks the biggest compare to C, 3, A, IS.

would you mind pointing out the specific differences?

if it is significantly toned down, I would think that would be to make room for an a-spec kit/differentiate trim levels, no?
