Acura: TLX News
well... Honda does not want to spend $$ investing in Acura.
But Acura will be facing another set of problem if Honda decided to make Acura a global brand.
#1. Acura just does not have enough products to compete globally.
#2. The Honda + will definitely hurt Acura because Globally, especially in Asian market, Honda cars are 1 level above N/A cars in terms of offered packages and technology. So what does Acura have to differentiate themselves from Honda there when they are actually struggling in the U.S.
#3. See what happened to Acura in China. You thought people in the US are brand whores, wait until you see what happens in China and other asian countries.
Almost all sucessful brand in the US will be recognized as premium globally. So If Honda wants to make Acura a global brand, they have to start with the US first. When Acura can successfully compete with Lexus, then we can talk about globalization.

Honda has always had relatively small sales in Japan. Don't know why. The success of Honda/Acura in the US and Canada has been the pillar of Honda's growth for 40 years.
It has 5 feet shorter turning circle than 1G TSX. more safety and refinement. wider seats. more quieter engine at higher speeds between 80 to 130mph.
225/50/17 tire circumference almost exactly matches 225/45/18. Acura really thought about size specifications. which is not case with TLX OEM fitting.
In EU they have Type S version that defeated Volvo torque vectoring sedan. Even Volvo has more technology and higher quality materials.

the tech that you are referring are you can buy in Asia made in China. it is worthless.
TSX has double wishbone suspension, tight turning circle as good as Civic, much quieter and refined engine noise when you accelerate from 80 to 120mph. car is very implanted it pulled 0.86g on C&D test compared to 0.82g by Accord touring. The fit/finish much higher grade than Accord. very timeless aggressive design. Just look at a the 5 year old TSX.

Expensive mirror design??? Yea, cause that looks SO much more expensive of a design than the accord. When you come back to reality and stop doing come back and try to make logical debates.
And it should, its was a NEW model replacing an old one.
Seriously. Seriously?? HOW MANY PEOPLE GIVE A RATS ASS ABOUT THIS OTHER THAN YOU?? Ill give you a hint.........
Wait for it......

Yeah, every time I'm cruising at 130mph I'm always saying to myself that I wish the engine was quieter. Then my midnight desert runs across the border would be much more secure.
Only if the car is going to be Uncle Bens...
No, they are actually selling Acuras with Honda badges everywhere else in the world. No one gives a shit about Acura outside of the US and even then it's a stretch.
Any car cruising at 80-130mph (which anyone with a TSX is never going to do) should be making a shit ton of noise.
I actually lol'ed at this.

2G TSX is class leading car when it was introduce early 2008.

This the most perfect car honda designed ever. small overhangs. very logical interior design.
1G TSX has larger overhangs relative to length.

they built it for 7 years 2G TSX. Honda made mistake and not updating anything especially visible things to consumers like push button start, touch screen controls, better than 5speed transmission. even though fuel economic not so bad with 5speed auto.

the 2G TSX was so fantastic. That's why you see three 1G TSXs on the road, for every 2G
I also like how SSFT always posts pictures of cars never available in north america.
SSFT, please don't stop. You provide all of AZ with unimaginable amounts of humor

Canada.
It's Yumcha! He's been trolling us all this time.
2G TSX has huge presence.
I appreciate that the TSX was not fantastic. It was just the right size and price for my budget.
I barely notice 2Gs on the road other than that flashy red one (which I love, by the way, but I'm a bit biased)
I'll be honest, I'm furious Honda/Acura only puts this color out for SE models. That TLX prototype was the best looking of all the TLX's.

The 1G was easy. Nav or non-nav. Auto or MT. Done.

It's a running theme with Honda as they did the same thing with the "Sport" version of the latest Accord. Apparently, drivers of "sport" oriented cars have no desire to know where they are going.
I understand separating out option packages so that Navi can be available with "Sport" or other trim versions, but making Navi unavailable on any trim in a premium/lux sedan doesn't make sense to me.
OTOH, maybe the accountants have run the numbers for TLX production costs and it decided that most people would use smart phones for navigation anyway.
I'll just blame the accountants.

How about the Accord Sport having no rear seat vents behind the center console. Apparently, Sport buyers are supposed to a car for singles who are poor kids and have no family to drive around. No Lanewatch either, because Sport drivers aren't supposed to signal when they change lanes to trigger the camera, either.

When you buy Sports.. fuck the passenger and the laws.
