This is a new thread to discuss the topic at hand mentioned in the title. The first thread derailed and would take too much time to read through and remove the off topic/toxic comments.
Original thread can be found here:

Please keep this one civil. This is an online community and we’re all here because in some way we’re all car enthusiasts whether you’re an Acura enthusiast or another brand. Discussion is welcome but personal attacks will not be tolerated.

This thread is hilarious now, like I said before forget the competition and how fast they are, TLX is the hottest looking car in the segment right now and only the Genesis G70 comes close in looks.

Acura did an amazing job with this car now granted there are a lot of things missing but I’m hoping Acura will add the missing features with the MMC. The PMC is already showing you what can be added with with just minor upgrades. I’m still on the fence on if I would choose an S5 SB or a type s.

Because you keep trying to deflect and never actually address anything. But let's try to get back on topic and what is your prediction for TLX sales in December? How big of a decrease this time?

The only issue is due to supply chain issues, most of the chips/parts that would have gone to more TLXs are instead going to the RDX/MDX. While I applaud Acura not selling customers cars with "Lite" trims as others are doing, you can't sell what you don't have!
This is a prime example of cutting off your nose to spite your face!

I suppose worst case scenario is that Acura has determined the TLX is not worth making compared to Integra/RDX/MDX.

Just separating the facts from the speculation, which crops up frequently in virtually any online forum.

So when do we start dancing on the grave of the G70?

For such a great car, it’s wild that it’s being outsold by more expensive German cars. BMW/MB owners must not have known about the greatness of Acura.

The G70 is a nice car but it's impractical for most because the interior is not very large...and the B pillar is thick and was intrusive on ingress/egress. I could certainly live with it but coming from a TSX I want something a little roomier.

Hyundai/KIA make some of the best looking cars these days (regardless of price) but I've personally moved on from mass market brands.

For me, I never considered Genesis because of lack of brand separation. If I'm buying a luxury brand, I shouldn't be waiting in a service room shared with Hyundai customers.

What a strange f*cking thread this is. It sounds like two teenagers going at it back and forth, not the type of behavior I’d expect from adults.
TLX is a good car, but it’s not without its faults. It’s small on the inside given how big the exterior is. The extra couple hundred pounds Acura designed in to the car affect its performance and fuel economy figures relative to the competition.
But on the flip side, it’s one of the best looking cars in the class, and the powertrain should be very reliable, which helps minimize cost if ownership for those of us who tend to keep our vehicle well beyond the warranty period.

You’d be surprised at how many women buy the 3 series. They’re not buying it for performance. They’re buying it for clout. And, based on the folks I see driving the C series I’d estimate that buying segment is 70% female. The TLX for what ever reason does not appear to be that popular with females.
Any other "identity issue" (small inside/big outside) cars that are also unpopular with women? We may have something here that could probably be picked up fairly easy using machine learning/AI.

This is what happens when a car that was hyped up to be the next best thing flops and is now barely selling, not enough owners and constructive conversation to keep this thread moving without the banter. But if you didn't have this these threads would dry up overnight.

Most owners moved on to other communities with more than 5 people who constantly repeat the same thing as ad nauseam since there was nothing new to gain from it.

Probably because the TLX is too big and harder to park relative to the 3 series, C Class, etc.

So the TLX is 8.1 in. longer and 3.3 in wider than a BMW 3 series. Many big phones are that big and you are telling me that because of this it's a problem to park and drive. Maybe they shouldn't be behind the wheel of a car then. Most people buy them because they could say, " Hey, I got a Bimmer or a Benz".
Any news on getting more power out of this engine? It doesn't seem P2R has put out anything new and IMW sent out those 25 beta tunes a couple months ago.

I made a couple of turns yesterday in a tight municipal lot in Queens that was riddled with double-parked cars waiting for folks to come back to their cars to take their spot. If I was driving the TLX, I probably wouldn't even have bothered entering the lot.
By the way, the length is closer to 9" longer as my X3 has the same length as the 3 series.

You don't need statistics to understand that a smaller car will have more opportunities to find parking compared to a bigger car.

You also forget there was very little info on this car when it first came out. I finished a 2 year tour of duty and there’s more info now than ever before.

He didn't like the car and has moved on to another car, which I don't have a problem with. But to posts everyday about it just gets old at some point. I have now 25,000 problem free miles on my TLX and love it. Like I noted before, people should learn how to drive these days. Don't know why he and others who never had this car keep coming back and beating up this car. There are many other types of cars out there so go buy one of those and enjoy. The TLX is what it is, nothing more or less, so get over it!

Are you implying that a 15 min test drive is the best indicator of a happy marriage? I think any owner who’s ever been unhappy would think otherwise!

Elin bought a car that didn’t meet his aspirations. For what ever reason he won’t admit that and incessantly complains about the vehicle to justify why he bought a BMW. It was pretty obvious to me by the way he gushed over Bear’s post that he had BMW envy. Now that he has one he’s simply hanging around here trying to rub our faces in it.
1) Someone is directly asking me something
2) Someone is purposefully shaking the beehive (like your post)
3) Someone posts drivel/nonsense that needs proper correction
The mods may be able to confirm that my posts per day/week/month has significantly dropped here since I left Acura. There's just nothing for me here unless someone needs help with their decision making.
Honestly, I've never been in any other car forum (Acura or otherwise) where certain members feel the need to limit talk of other car brands. It's almost like they're secretly working for Acura and performing some form of damage control. The animosity to former owners who have switched is quite odd. Has Acura become the "don't let the door hit your ass on the way out" brand?

The reviews for the new Accord is out. I watched a couple of them and not sure if Honda made these changes (less HP, more luxurious than sporty, CVT, Hybrid) to create a bigger separation between TLX and Accord or not? But clearly, this new generation of Accord is weaker than the previous one IMHO.
My personal opinion, Honda did not do a great job with the exterior design.
