The Michelins have a little checkered (chequered?) racing flag. Does that help? Or get out the tire pens that were popular about 20 years ago.

Infiniti Q50 Sedan Is Dead; Infiniti Is Now an All-SUV Brand!

I won't lie, it's sad to see Q50 gone! Infiniti is in a bad situation for almost a decade. Nothing has really worked for them. But a Japanese performance sedan dead

All I ever heard about the car is it is fast, and has a seriously outdated interior and technology. It was an attractive car, but seemed to never have a real backing from Nissan.

Yeah sounds about right, kinda crazy to see all of the TLX's "Competition" becoming extinct Kia Stinger, now the Q50, and soon the G70 lol

Its like that show survivor who's the next manufacturer to leave the "Sedan Island" lol

In the Land of the Blind, the one-eyed man is king. Does that make the TLX the king?

G70 could stick around a while longer as going full electric is being rethought by many manufacturers. Who knows, they may be thinking of hybridizing it; as Lexus is rumored to be doing with the IS.

basically the only performance ICE sedans from an Asian carmaker will be the TLX Type S, IS500 FSP, and Integra Type S, and possibly the G80 Magma if it's ever released...

Tbh, it seems like next will be G70 as there were rumors. And TLX might become TLX-E lol! A4 is gone now and it will be EV (correct me if i am wrong as I don't follow fancy VW, I mean Audi).

I give a huge credit to Lexus for still selling IS followed by to Acura by selling Integra (pretty much like a Civic) with $7-$10K higher price and beating the Germans by 50%.

I give Genesis credit for producing some nice luxurious cars within a span of 10 years (although i will never pay $CAD95K for a G80 or CAD$105K for a GV80). If I am paying 6 figures for a car, I might as well enjoy and get the badge and opt in for Germans.
But this G80 MAGMA....no man! Please leave this to MB and BMW (E53/63 or M5). Korean cars are not refined and their transmission is not great. Keep it luxurious and copy Bentley. There are a bunch of people out there that will get impressed by the massive grill, the logo, quilted seats and buy one

The problem with the current G70 is that it is impractical, even for a smaller sedan, and pretty niche when you think about it.

Well at least you do follow fancy Honda, I mean Acura Yes, the ICE A4 is being discontinued and will be replaced with an EV version because they are redoing the lineup and even numbers will be EV and odd numbers will be ICE.

Would like to see it in a more normal color other than orange to get a better idea on how it looks in a color that I could live with on a daily basis. Those flashy bold colors always look pretty good in a photo but I would never ever want to own one. Have owned a lot of cars in a lot of colors but now kinda tend to be more conservative in my tastes. That said styling wise it looks to be well done and one of the nicer sedans to come out in that respect.

not ICE but the G80 Magma EV concept might give you an idea...

So in conclusion, A4 is dead! Thanks for confirming!
unlike fancy VW owners, I always say I love Honda. For me Honda/Acura go together 🙌🏽 reliability, resale value, performance and look 🙏🏽

Sorry to rain on your parade, but it’s dying in name only. It’s going to be renamed the A5. https://www.motor1.com/news/656180/audi-a4-renamed-a5-report/

It’d be like saying that the RL died because Acura renamed it to the RLX, or the GLK died because Mercedes renamed it the GLC, or the Miata died in Canada because Mazda simply renamed it the MX-5 (and the list goes on and on).

Apparently the TL didn't die as we are somehow on 6G of the TLX?!!!

I get where you are going but it's a new design and bigger so along with a new name it can be argued that it is a whole new car: https://www.motor1.com/news/726699/2...-replacing-a4/

Isn’t a new generation always a new design and bigger? Did the TLX die because the 2G is a whole new design and bigger?

Where I'm going is that the current A5 and A4 are not going to be this new A5 so it's almost like when the TL and TSX disappeared for the TLX, was not a natural next gen model evolution for those like the Camry staying the Camry, the Accord the Accord...

And speak of the devil, Genesis is dropping the G70 and GV80 from the UK and European markets so may be a sign of things to come (at least for the G70) and said that they are listening to customers here and will be offering more hybrid models in the near future and have loosened their commitment to EV.

I’m not sure I follow. The new A4/5/whatever it’s called is definitely still going to be in the same compact luxury segment as it’s always been. It’s not at all like Acura combining two models into one (which isn’t really even a thing anymore since the 2G TLX is firmly a TL replacement)
