i think i have changed my mind again on wheels, what size tire would be best if i went with a 19x8.5 20 offset in the rear and a 25 offset in the front. i knwo it will prob rub a little, but what would be best

For reference:

18 x 8.5 + 48 front
18 x 9.5 + 38 rears

Greatlly appreciate the time ur taking to help us noobs here!
run 245/40-18 front
run 255/40-18 rear or 255/35-18 rear

it fits, you could run a spacer for asthetics but is fine

Question on Brembo/Big Brake Clearance
-2004 TL 6Spd BBK with rims above

Will these rims rub with a 15mm spacer added (if it clears brakes will it rub the fender?) That should take care of the offset but not quite sure if you have a formula above and beyond regular offset/rim width calcs. Would prefer running 245's but will run 235's if needed.

Thanks again.
honestly it might require a a bigger spacer than +15... dont be shocked if it needs a 25mm spacer... if it needs a 25 best tire to run is 235 on a mild drop and 225 on a nice drop

it'll work

As for the rear I have some 19X9.5 +35 offset, what do you recommend for tires and if any spacers needed? let me know .....

the fronts depends on the wheel design, it is truly a hit or miss on the clearance, the rear would require a 245/35-19 if the fenders are rolled

sole option is 225/35-19 with fenders rolled and negative camber added

Hi everyone. I'm looking for a set of winter rims for my 08 tl-s. Anyone know if the rims from an 08 civic si will fit? They are 215/45/17 and I believe the stock si's have a +38m offset

I have a staggered set up.8.5 front/10.5 rear. Lorenzo 20" deep dish, a bit of rubbing when the car is full. Rear lip has been rolled. It looks tastefully sporty! pics soon.

Questipn will these wheels fit ?
My car is an 05 tl base with navi 5spd auto

Wheels are
Xxr 521
18x8.5 front 18x10 rear
Offset +35 I believe

Tires are
215/40 front
225/40 rear

I'm dropped 2in front and 1.75 rear on h&rs with tokicos and a rear camber kit no rolled fenders or anything

Will these fit without having to roll the fenders ? Or how can I run them not interested incrazy camber in the rear

Thanks

Im just worried that the back will stick out with +39 offset with a 9.5 tire width. What tire size would go well with these? I'm guessing 245/40/18 and 255/40/18??

need some help here guys...

looking to upgrade to some nicer wheels/tires this spring.

i've got an 07 tl type s. i'm looking at some 19" wheels, and was wondering what offset you would reccommend for the FRONT and BACK to clear brembos, etc.

wheels are Forgestar F14's 19". d-townhakuzo is running them with fronts at 19x8.5 +34 and the rears are 19x9 +30. his is not a type-s tho, so i'm trying to figure out the best offsets for me.

ALSO, what kind of tire and what size would you recommend for spring/summer/fall?

right now, i just have the stock type-s wheels, theyre 235/45/17, i'm dropped 1" and have 20mm spacers in rear and 15mm in front. the look is PERFECT and FLUSH and looks great. i'll be getting adjustable koni yellow sp3's in the spring as well, to play with the height if i need to.

so, i'm all ears. i'm real confused as to the offsets and tire sizes. i was thinking of sticking with 235/45/19 when i upgrade, because i still want to use the spacers for the flush look, UNLESS wider tires would give me that flush look as well, then i could just sell the spacers or something.

i'll await your guys answers. thanks in advance

Not sure about the brembos, but the specs on the back will be pretty damn flush. Tire wise you should run 245/40/19 Some people run 245/35/19 as well. Less protection though

I know for a fact that the fronts have to be +35 and no less than that or it wont clear brembos because I've been wanting to buy a set of these for a long time now and can't find ANY at all in 19'. They also have to be in A-Disk and not O-disk or else it won't fit brembos. I'm still not too sure about the offset in the back because it differs when you use 8.5, 9, 9.5 rim width. Personally, I'm looking for the same 8.5 front and 9.5 rear for that staggered look. Good luck hunting!

if not, what are your suggestions for this setup?

Okay guys,

So I blew out my tire last weekend and i dont care cause it was time to replace the treads anyway, so i mind as well get new rims as well. Below is what i want to get, and it seems like +35 offset is the magic spot for the brembos, so here is the scoop. Will these fit on my car and what would you recommend tires for these. I am a conti-freak so i might stay with contis unless i find better. Im thinking 235/40/19s but you guys are the experts what do you think would look nice?

Wheel make/model:MRR Design GT-1 rims
Wheel size: 19x8.5 all around
Wheel offset: +35 all around
Not lowering ride just yet.

Car : 08 TL Type-S Blk/Auto

Also I heard the brembo pads can push the brembo out a little more that can make it more tricky...........hmmmmmmm........any concerns??

Hi All,

I have a 2006 TL, automatic with nav package. Unfortunately, 2 of the wheels are bent and are out of shape due to which my car vibrates a lot. I confirmed that after taking the car to 2 different mechanics and they both asked me to replace the wheels for the vibration to stop.

I am wondering if its possible to repair/rework my current wheels. I wasn't involved in any accident. I think the wheels probably got bent due to the numerous pot-holes on the roads here in central NJ.

Do you guys think it's a good idea to repair the wheels? I googled a bit and found someone who does that, but have no idea how reliable is that. Or should I just get new wheels? Also, I was thinking replacing just the 2 damaged wheels or is it best to replace all 4 even though they are good?

Please pardon my long email . I'm new to the forum so consider me a novice in every aspect.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there- thinking of picking these up. since they're concave type i'm trying to figure out the widest I can go in the rear and the lowest offset to show the max amount of concaveness.

thanks for the help.

1.Brand of Rim - forgestar f14

2.Rim size (diameter and width) - 19X8.5 FRONT AND 19X9 rear
3.Offset - 35mm front, 25mm rear
4.Brand of tire -
5.Tire size - 235/35/19 front - looking for suggestions for the rear
6.Drop Type and Amount - Tein S tech, 1.5 inches
7.Will they rub?????
