Got two different types of tires but both same size

215/35/zr18's two brand new Raptor Rikens and 2 Pirelli Supersport P7000

I don't see why these won't fit but I wanted to ask the experts first.

too narrow minimum must be 18x8 keep looking, tires are too thin also
215??? no way, 225/45-18 or 225/40-18 would be the narrowest worth going,

Will the '09-'11 TL SH-AWD wheels (18" 5 spoke) fit my ride?

Thanks, love ya guys!
the newer tl is 5x120

ebay is the best place to get spacers, but you truly only need slightly longer wheel studs and keep rocking the 5mm spacer you go...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/71785...Q5fAccessories

Full set of four (4) wheels from used 2009 Acura TL

Hollander number: 71785

Center caps included. Lug nuts are not included

17x8", 5 lug on 120" 55mm offset
you need 5x114.3 and also that price is PER wheel not all 4

as mentioned above needs 10mm spacer

20, 37 or 42? (the 18x9.5 only come in a 30).
I'm not interested in running different offsets for front/rear unless I really need to.

Also, what sort of spacers would I need to run if any?

Thanks in advance

19x9 will require like a +25 offset or +30 offset to clear bbk
will not look as concave as 18x9.5 on the other hand

I have 18x9.5 33mm offset and don't rub on the a spec suspension.
he is 6mt he has the bbk to worry about not the rubbing part

So, from my observation, the lower the offset is from 45 [which is stock I think?] the closer it goes to the fender?

I don't mind doing rolling my fenders. Not sure about pulling them and such.
I'm currently dropped on Tokico Blues+Tein S-Techs. I may go lower in the future to about a 1 finger gap drop.
read above you have to take the brembos into consideration when thinking of offsets

If you end up wanting more width you can get 15mm Spacers to get to a 22mm offset but if you go with the 20mm wheelcypu can't really go the other way

no point in getting spacers if the lower offsets are avaiable

again 19x9 +25 good luck

Will a 245/35/19 Still rub if I roll the fenders and negative camber.
I'd run 235/35-19 just to be on the ideal side, the 245 may rub with fat chick in the back seat

Stock for now, planning as much as 1.75-2.0 on coilovers.

I am planning on getting coilovers and a camber kit, and running -1deg camber all around with 0 tow. I am fine with getting my fenders rolled, but won't unless I have to. My question is will I rub with 235/40s, or should I get 225/40s?
go with the 225

235/35-19
-How much fender rolling will be needed?
none
- Would I be better off running 19x8.5 +36 all around?
stagger is for looks
non stagger is for better ride feel

Tires I just bought along with the wheels: Hankook Ventus evo v12's 235/40/18

I'm pretty sure I read enough that the following will be ok, but since I just placed the order, I want to confirm these will not rub/I will not need spacers or anything. I'm a bit of a newb, so I kind of just want to make sure. Thx!
no worries you are good

do the 10 since you are dropped don't want you to rub
the 15mm will require a slight fender roll and it will be mildly poking

Tire Make/Model Options (these are all the options presented for the package):
- Nexen N3000 (package price: $1599)
- Nankang NS-2 (summer tire) (package price: $1599)
- Falken 452 (package price: $1699)
- Nitto NT555 (package price: $1823)
- General Exclaim (package price: $1831)
- Nitto InVo (package price: $1879)
- KUMHO SPT (package price: $1883)
- Toyo Tire Proxes 4 (package price: $1919)

I don't know much about tires, and also don't want to pay too much. At the same time, I want to make sure I get good quality so I'm willing to spend a decent amount. Any recommendations on these? Any help will be greatly appreciated...

Also, my final question: What do I need to get to have my internal TPMS pick up the new wheels? I don't want to have the sensor going crazy every day, but don't know what I need. I think I need to buy tpms sensors when buying the wheels (they'll install it when balancing and mounting i assume), and then it'll work when I have my dealer put on the new wheels/tires (anything additional involved such as programming or something)?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!
need a +35 offset
i would do toyo proxes 4

for the tpms you just need a competent tire shop that will not damage your sensors the sensors require no programming so long as the shop doesnt damage them you will be good to go within 5mile drive

im pretty sure it will fit with at least a 1.5 drop at least. hoping it will be flushed a little.
as you saw in the pics the tires are too thick for that setup it would require a 215 for future refference

Wheel Size : front/rear 19x9.5
Wheel Offset : Front/rear +25
Tire size: 225/40/19 all the way around (nankang ns2's)
If lowered (amount): Tein SS- about 2-2.5"

Rears are rolled, and running a 3mm spacer.
Fronts are rolled, pulled, and the fender ground down where it meets the front bumper.

Camber specs for now: rear -1.9* front -1.3* (until i get a camber kit for up front, then I'll go -2.5* or so).

The front rubs slightly, over bumps when turning. It is mostly wheel liner, but it DOES catch the fender from time to time. With a bit more negative camber this should be alleviated.

So, a 9.5" wheel with relatively low offset is possible up front, it just takes a while to massage the front fenders to work. the ride height is higher than I'd like it to be, but I believe with more neg. camber up front I should be able to go lower. hope this helps anyone considering the fitment. it's a bitch, but it DOES work.
the problem is your tire specs the tire is too tall
you need 225/35-19

When i do the conversion of the original Tire Diameter 235/45/17 (25,3') the guide says i need to go for 265/30/19 to get 25,3'.

if i were you i would probably go with the +32 offset make it more aggresive looking or if you wanted to be flush go with the +20

i am assuming you dont want to stagger??
I think he wants
19x8 +40 (235/35-19)
19x9.5 +40 (255/30-19)

tire sizes added for convenience

Wheel: Varrstoen 2.2.2
Size: 19x9.5 and 19x10.5
Offsets: +30 and +30
Lowered: Tein SS and looking to have a stance like "bforbrian" and his 19" LE37s

Transmission: Auto
Model: Type S

Will these widths and offsets fit? I am willing to stretch tires and run neg camber. Any ideas on tire sizes, fender work, and camber specs?

^ youre pushing it but yes they can and will fit if you do it right... front you will probably need to run a 225/35/19 the rears a 235/35/19 its guna be a pretty big stretch on both rims i am not sure if a 245/35/19 will work in the rear ...

you will need to roll/cut rears and deffinately need to cut the front tab on the front fender where it meets with the bumper... depending on how low you want to be you may have to do some pulling of the fenders as well...

you most likely will have to run some negative camber in the rear maybe arou nd -4 to -5

its doable just depends on what you want and how much work you want to do

235/35-19 is maxing the back and isn't really that BIG of a stretch I think a 235 no a 10.5 looks

here's a little site to give you an idea on stretching

I don't want a bulky tire, but I don't want rubebr bands or any stretch. What do you think about the following sizes?

215-35
225-40

So I have Volk Racing Progressivs, 19x8 all around and am looking to get tires.

I was thinking either 235/35 or 245/35, what is the difference exactly and what do you recommend? Also are Nexen tires any good, I think that is the brand my friend supports and is trying to get me to buy em.

Transmission Manual

Wheel Falken torque 5
Wheel Size 19x8
Wheel Offset +38
tire size 215/35/19

Question on Brembo/Big Brake Clearance
Transmission (Manual or Auto): MANUAL
Year/Trim (04-07, Base or Type S): 04 / CANADIAN DYNAMIC AERO (possibly Canada's Type S equivalent for 2004?)
Wheel Make/Model: I'm considering a 5-star with a deepdish like the XXR 523 or the TSW Jarama
Wheel Size (**X**): 19s
Wheel Offset (+**): not sure what will work best
If lowered (amount): 1" ~ I definitely sit lower than the base TLs

I'm having a really hard time determining what rims and tires will work for my Black TL. Any advice on rims, tires, and offset is greatly appreciated. I've been reading through these posts for a few days now and haven't been able to find a solid solution for my setup.

judging purely off wheel design I will say it will need a 5mm which means with that tire size you should be ok, but 225/35-19 (if it exists) is also an option

19x8.5 +35 is a perfect bbk friendly setup...
the xxr 523 come in 18 or 20 fyi
and the tsw jarama come in 19x8 +40 which would require like a 10mm spacer to clear ur brakes

on a 19x8.5 +35 235/35-19 is perfect
on a 19x8 +40 with a 10mm spacer 235/35-19

Wheel Size (**X**): 18x9.5
Wheel Offset (+**): +22
If lowered (amount): tein basics, about 1.25-1.5 inches.

i had 18x9 +15's and they ran fine with my fenders rolled the way they are (i also dont want to roll any more or worse, needing to pull em). My math shows that the 18x9.5 +22 will actually tuck in 1mm more, i'm just worried about it clearing brakes. even though i don't have brembos, want to make sure. thanks!

OK I realized I will probablly need 15mm spacers. Curious what tire size would fit these and give good rim protection?

I just bought an 08 TL Type-S. I don't wanna lower it cause its my daily driver but I do wanna fill out the wheel wells. Can I do a staggered wheel on it? Like an 8.5 in front and a 9.5 or possibly bigger in the rear? Oh and I wanna run 19in wheels. And if any one has an suggestions on a good brand I'm all ears. Thanks

Transmission (Manual or Auto): Manual
Year/Trim (04-07, Base or Type S): 05 base
Wheel Make/Model: Enkei RPF1
Wheel Size (**X**): 18x9.0
Wheel Offset (+**): +35mm - will need10mm spacer so true = +25mm
If lowered (amount): Stock currently, looking at H&R sport with Koni Sport ( Yellow ) so ~ 1.5 inch drop.

Question - can this set up work & make a clean look with out a bunch of poke ?? I would like to keep my current tire size - 245/40/18.

I notice on page 27 of your great on going thread here that you had a similar set up of wheel size, offset, drop & tire size - how did it look & how did you like the performance ?? The car I have is supercharged and it feels like I have a lot more engine than suspension - I would really like to dial in this 9.0 wide RFF1 ! Such a great wheel that looks so much better with the flatter spokes - regardless, I will be getting this wheel is some size. Heck, I am tempted to get rid of those big brakes..."If you drive fast enough, you don't need windsheild wipers"...and will probablay have a spot free view of your impact !

I really like the look of NBPacuraTL's set up with the RPF1, when gasoline prices were more reasonable, - smaller brake on front & 18x9.5 +38mm wheel.
https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...highlight=rpf1

Let us know what you think, & Thank you for your on going advise. Fulcrum.

Transmission (Manual or Auto): Auto
Year/Trim (04-07, Base or Type S): 06 base
Wheel Make/Model: XXR 502
Wheel Size (**X**): 18x9.5
Wheel Offset (+**): +35mm
If lowered (amount): don't know yet, depends on how big the gap will be. would consider springs or aspec

i was interested in these 9.5 wheels since the lip is larger than the 8.5 i do not want to go staggered.

will these fit the front wheels? will the front or rear poke out too much? is 245/40/18 ok for these wheels? thinking of Continental DWS
assuming they fit, should i consider larger sidewall to reduce any potential gap?

I bought a different wheel then the ones I planned on in the other thread. I picked up a set of 19x8.5 et 32 all the way around. I am lowered on tein s-techs. Should I do 225/35 or 235/35

So from what I gather here I would need shorter sidewall tires? Looking for confirmation before I pull the trigger on a used set. Thanks in advance. For a '04 Base, stock ride height.

Yes a 235/35/19 would be the proper tire and fit for that rim specification

I would like to know how to fit these:

Varrstoen ES 2.2.1 Matte Black
18x9.5 +22 with Falken 512 225/40/18 all around

yes they fit jwrong had those on his exact set up... some rubbing up front but not bad ... he wasnt slammed though so if you go lower might have to do some fender rolling.

rears would accept a 235 but not fronts... I would think the most the front could run is a 225/35/19....

i think its pushing it too much.... i mean you can pretty much make anything fit but will it look good? duno about this one... the rear tires would most likely rub.. just a wierd rim and tire combo
