Questions on Tires

Wheel Make/Model: XXR 502
Wheel Size (**X**):F:20X8.5, R:20X10
Wheel Offset (+**):+35
If lowered (amount): Tein S-Techs

What size tires without too much stretching and no fender pulling?

Thanks again! very helpful thread!

I have a 05 tl base with brembo brakes and tl-s rims, just wanted to Make sure i could fit 245 width tires with no issues as far as rubbing or what not, it has the a-spec suspension as well, but get a suspension kit in future. Im assuming there shouldnt be a problem since i read some of you guys doing 18's with 245's just wanted to see if there is anything im not catching. Thanks and sorry if this has been asked already, (searched in this thread to no avail!)

the rear will require either a 245/30-20 roll the fenders
the front require 235/30-20 as is... no mods needed

should clear brembos

that offset is low... so 225/40-18 with fenders rolled and negative camber added.. ps. thats going to be stretched

on the factory tl-s wheels you can run any of the following
235/45-17
245/45-17
245/40-17
255/40-17

good luck

If i roll the rear fenders, what tire size would i be able to fit in the back.

Just to be clear, fronts will not rub at all without any fender mods?

Thank you! So helpful!

Wheel Make/Model: Unsure at this time
Wheel Size (**X**):20x7.5
Wheel Offset (+**):+42

These were on a 2G Tl-S. Will this fit a 05TL with brembos? Tire size is 225/35/20. I know they're a little thin...

TIA

What's my best tire options: 04' TL Running Axis Pentas 19X8.5, +35 offset all around. Dropped on 1" on comptechs, would like to go 245/35/19, most wheel shops are saying 235/35/19. Any insight, greatly appreciated! Thanks

2004 TL
Wheel Make/Model: 5Zigen ZR+520
Wheel Size: 18x9.5
Wheel Offset: +37
Stock height

I think it was already mentioned that 255/35/18 tires should work but 265/35/18 would keep the wheel diameter closer to stock and I would prefer to have that .2 of extra sidewall.

I assume the 265s shouldn't be a problem with a stock ride height. If that's the case, how long could I go without any issues? 1 inch?

Forgive me as I am very new to this (purchased a 2007 Type-S two days ago). I have been crawling through this thread and still can't figure out if I can mount the stock TL wheels on my Type-S. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

it will fit with 225/40-18 tires... not a very performance oriented setup just looks

to fit 255/30-20 you will have to dial in some negative camber after the roll and that will still likely rub on dips and passengers in the back

wheels cannot be narrower than x8 to even begin to clear the brembos

265 with just rolling the fenders will rub damn near everywhere except flat surface on any height

Just got some Ron Jon wheels, do I need to get tapered lugs or will the stock ones be ok? And what size lugs?

18X8.5 +25 offset (fronts)
18X9.5 +25 offset (rears)

Will this clear 3G Brembo's? Also what tires would be best. 235-40-18?

Thanks in advance.

if the car is auto it fits fine... 235/45-17 tires are the correct tires

12x1.5 you need tuner style... ie. muteki

yes it fit the brakes 225/40-18 all around or you could try 235/40-18 just in the rear

rolling, and negative camber required

most likely a +35... those wheels generally can be ordered with high disk clearance for the front, take that into consideration when purchasing wheels

19x9.5 +40 and depending on the tire size, 245/35-19 no rolling, 255/35-19 will require rolling

Wheel Make/Model: 18" TSX A-Spec
Wheel Size (18X7.5)
Wheel Offset (+55)??

They are wrapped around 235/40/ZR18.

Will these fit on a 2007 TL Type-S?

ehhh god no! first off dont go smaller than 8" wide on any rim for a TL second of all +55 offset i dont think soo you would have to put on at least a 15-20mm spacer to make them fit just get some TL Aspecs if you want something stock looking and in 18"

since your only lowered on aspecs you can roll a 9.5 rear +35 offset or even more agressive fitment without rolling fenders... if you were slamed more than you would have to roll rear fenders

i have a 19x9.5 rear +40 offset with 265/30/19 and no rolled rear fenders...im lowered like 2.5"

murph is correct 18x7.5 +55 is far to inward
18x8 +45 is the narrowest and highest offset that would look good

his question pertained more towards brembo clearance

I have question about wheels offset with OEM brembo brake....

Front: 19x8 +8 Offset (Equivalent to a 19x9 +22 Offset) But with a little bigger lip. Approximately 3in Lip
Rear: 19x10 +22 Offset. Approximately 4in Lip

Do you guys think will fit on TL-S ?
Do you think I need Spacers ?

Thank you......

Do you guys think will fit on TL-S ?
Do you think I need Spacers ?

Thank you......
WOW... do you know just how passed the fender that setup is??? you will have to run like a 215 tire in the front and no bigger than a 225 in the back and roll and negative camber... no they do not require spacers... yes they do clear the big brakes by alot

you will have to roll fenders

Would this setup fit? would i need to roll my fenders and get spacers?
spacers needed
roll fenders
the front is going to be extra tight with your drop, so you may want to consider 225/40-18 instead

If I get 18x9 what is the correct tire width I would need to get? I wanna make it flush with my ROLLED fenders, but I don't want tire stretch, so what offset would push it out to the max (+25? +20?) where I could still have the 'correct' tire size. This will be performance oriented. Plus I'm dropped about 2" (No fingers on OEM wheels).
