Question on Brembo/Big Brake Clearance/Tires/possible work ie fender roll
Transmission (Manual):
Year/Trim (2008, Type S):
Wheel Make/Model:VOLK TE37 SEIBON EDITION
Wheel Size (Fronts:19x8.5 or 19x9.5)
Wheel Offset (Fronts:+43[8.5] or +22/or+43[9.5])
Wheel Size (Rears:19x10.5 or 19x9.5)
Wheel Offset (Rears:+22[10.5] or +22/or+43[9.5])
If lowered (amount):approx 1.5" on tein superstreets

don't know what combo to get, want the rear wheel staggered look. and don't know what tires would pull this off either.

19" Roderick RW-2

Questions on Wheels
Wheel Make/Model: Roderick RW-2

Wheel Size: 19x8.5 (They also make 19x9.5 for rear but people seem to say not to stagger since I cant rotate-agreed?

Wheel Offset: 32 (but 45 also avail if needed)

Lug: 5x112 but I asked then and it can get re-drilled to 114.3

Lowered: No

Transmission: Auto

Questions on Tires
Width/Sidewall-Diameter (XXX/35-19): If 8.5 I'd go with 245. What would I get for rear if I stagger 9.5?

Hi guys, I am new here to the forum, I have been reading and seeing and ofcourse trying to take info from all of you to make my car look good.

so far I have on the teins ss and i am loving it, now i am looking forward in buying some rims, man its tough to choose rims, espcially me being a newby on this! lol
im just afraid, but down to the question,
I have 2 sets in mind. the first one is
EXE wheels, IMAGE
19x8.5 w/35 offset
19x9.5 w/40 offset
2)
Enkei RPF1
19x8.5 w/22 offset
19x9.5 w/22 offset

I want to lower almost all the way down, kinda like hella flush style

which one do you guys think would look nice?
what fitment tires would i be able to go with?
I live in Boston so roads are tough but i can manage!

Im driving 05 Base TL with Nav. no brembo brakes

thanks in advance

I was looking at the Image as well. Have you seen the Vertini Hennessey? They are very similar, slightly thinner spoke, and about $40 cheaper per wheel. (I photoshopped them on my car in another thread)

I am from MA as well and as much as I'd love to go 30/20, there's no way we can safely roll 30s on our roads. I can think of so many times driving up 95 and smashing on hidden potholes at night. For that reason I'm going 35/19-esp at like 500 a wheel/tire like you are talking for the EXE

I'm looking at those rims too! Funny how as soon as I posted my question about them, more people start posting about the same exact rim.

Cheapest I've seen it online would be at www.1010tires.com. Check it out. shipping is a killer for me though... living in Hawaii sucks when it comes to this kind thing!

I looked at the Vertini's you suggested. They're nice!... Only thing is the spokes look like they're pretty straight, whereas the Images have a slight curve, I think. I can't really tell from the pictures. Can't decide which would look better! How reputable are Vertini's? I've never actually seen them around too much. I know EXE has pretty good stuff considering they're part of the Axis line. What do you think, Ollie?

I'm in love with the flush look... but without too much negative camber and tire stretching. I also want to stay away from modifying the fender in any way to fit the rims/tires. Is it possible to get a nice flush look with the 8.5s all around or will I have to go wider for something like that? What are the recommended sizes for these rims in either option?

Thanks in advance.
19x8.5 +35 Front wrapped on either 245/35-19 or 235/35-19
19x9.5 +45 Rear wrapped on either 255/30-19 or 245/35-19

read above for the exe
for the rpf1 to run that offset you will need 225/40-19 tires front and 235/35-19 rear you will have to roll rears

30 series is all you can run unless you go 225/35-20

The 19x9.5 only comes in +40... would that be a problem? Also, if I were to do the 19x8.5 all around, would the +35 offset be the same for both the front and rear?

"stillhere" thanks man, u know your stuff huh?
well considering these two rims that i posted i m guessing both will fit, are the exe going to be flush? or i prolly need spacers for them right?
the rpf1s will be flush, from the aggressive offset.
i will be dropped all the way down on ss

I've seen really good prices on GETYOURWHEELS and elementwheels and they both have free shipping, but now that I see 101 they are $300 cheaper even including the $100 shipping!. I'm waiting to hear back from a local Town Fair to see if they will match. The EXE version does look a little more bent than the Vertini (in a good way). I am going to take a chance with a new brand (Roderick by MMR). I am in Providence now but from Hanover

19x9.5 +40 is not a problem but may require rolling if you go 255/30-19

19x8.5 +35 is good... 235/35-19 if you plan to slam it... 245/35-19 with a mild drop (anything above 2")

clears brakes
front 235/35-19 or 245/35019
rear 245/35-19 or 255/30-19 (the 10.5 will require rear fenders be rolled)

rear fenders would have to be rolled that's about it (guessing you car is automatic)... if it's manual it will require a spacer between 5mm and 10mm

sorry i made a mistake. Idk if it makes any difference but I meant 18x9 +30 Rota G-Force, not grid.

can i go with 235/35/19 for the fronts?

specs on rims are: 19x8.5 22 offset
and 19x9.5 22 offset

the back you suggested 235/35/19 can i do front and back with the same tires?

yeah that is actually closer to the oem size than 225/40... I just say go 40 for a little more sidewall, but 225/35-19 is fine

EXE Image

Hey Chino,

Let me know if you end up getting the EXE Image. I'd love to see if on your car before I pull the trigger on mine. I wish 1001 had the Flair as cheap as the Image, but the Flair is normal price with them.

Do their prices advertised come with everything we'd need to get it on the car (aside from tires) or would we need to buy the lug nuts separate?

ollie, i think you have to buy the lug nuts seperate, i would get 2 sets of locks though, they stole my brother's g35 stock rims with regular lock nuts!
crazy!!
about the rims im leading more towards the rpf1 with the aggressive set up. i got a good price on those too,
ill keep u posted. once i buy them i will learn how to post pictures up so i can show you guys

Roderick Fitment

Stillhere, you seem to be the resident expert.

I have just about decided on 19x8.5 all around. They come in 66.6 hub and 32 / 45 et. Which offset would fit stock 04 better? He recommended 45.

I contacted MMR directly and they said "I have blanks so I can drill, shave and open the hub to your exact mesurements required by Acura." In this case, are there any adjustments I should ask for?

I plan on 245/35/19 all around. From my research this should give me plenty of room all around w/o a roll.

I'm still tempted by 235/35/20 with a roll w/o a drop though...I just don't want to regret it later

hey al,

thanks for all the help. now i'm just concerned about any vibrations coming from the wheels/tires.

my tl came with aftermarket ASA 19" wheels when i bought the car. at around 60mph, the car would vibrate like the wheels weren't balanced. thinking that that was the case, i took it in to get the wheels balanced. while the car was at the shop, one of the techs pulled me into the garage and had me look at the wheel setup. the bolts weren't even centered in the holes! three out of the five bolts were centered, but two of them were slightly off-centered. was this an incorrect bolt pattern or does it have to do with the wheels being hub centric or not? i have no idea what the specs of those wheels were. good thing the previous owner still had the stock wheels so we swapped it out (the stocks are way nicer than the ASAs he had on there anyway).

I contacted MMR directly and they said "I have blanks so I can drill, shave and open the hub to your exact mesurements required by Acura." In this case, are there any adjustments I should ask for?

I plan on 245/35/19 all around. From my research this should give me plenty of room all around w/o a roll.

I'm still tempted by 235/35/20 with a roll w/o a drop though...I just don't want to regret it later
you want the hub to be 64.1 (which is honda specific)

if you want the 245/35-19 cushioned ride you will likely want to go with 19x8.5 +45 so you wont have to roll the fenders

+32 would be more friendly with the 235/35-19 tire

if the wheel studs were not centered how on earth was the wheel installed... that's real funny... I was going to say oh it needed hubrings but then you tell me the wheel studs themselves were bent, ur lucky they caught that... sounds real unsafe...

I'd run them all around just to add that bit more of flushness.... 5mm spacers are like $60 for 2 pairs, don't let that dissuade you

my guess is that the wheels might have been redrilled from 5x120 to 5x114.3 maybe?

i do remember the guy telling me that those rims came off of a lexus, but... wouldn't it still be the same bolt pattern?? aren't 5x120s more for bmws? which leads me to another question... i saw on ronjon's website that there is a wheel fitment of 5x114.3 AND 5x120 for 3rd gen TLs.

here's the link to the site
http://ronjonwheels.com/vega.html

possibly just a typo?

only available is:
235/45/17 - stock
245/40/17
255/40/17

W/ negative camber and rolled front fenders yes

225/35-19 or 225/40-19 is a better tire choice

His new wheels are dual drilled meaning 10holes fit both 5x114.3 and 5x120... Lexus I have no clue about

Above sizes mentioned work as well
You can also run 245/45-17

If the offset is between +45 and +30 they'll fit without a problem

Hi there, I have a 2005 WDP Acura TL.

I am trying to find more information on to what is necessary to get the 2007-2008 base a-spec lip to fit on my model?

Would a 2007-2008 bumper with the foglights fit on my TL and if so, i guess I could go ahead and place the base a-spec lip on?

Need some help here on 2 TSW wheels, the snertton, and Donington.

Apparently the problem is the width, 19x8 19x9.5, don't know what this means, but most ppl run a 8.5.

Wheel Make/Model: TSW Donington or Snetterton
Wheel Size "Donington" (19x8 19x9.5) Snetterton 19x8.0 19x9.5
Wheel Offset (-42 Donington) (Snetterton -40mm)
(Not Lowered):

Tire: 235/35 R19
