Wheel Make/Model: ENKEI RPF1
Wheel Size (18x8):
Wheel Offset (+35):
If lowered (amount): 1.75" fronts and 1.5" rears..Planning on doing an even drop with Koni Yellows.

Question on Brembo/Big Brake Clearance
Transmission (Manual or Auto): Manual
Year/Trim (04-07, Base or Type S): 04 6 speed with Brembo Brakes

What size tires would I need, and Would this setup fit? would i need to roll my fenders and will these clear brakes and will i need spacers? what camber setting do I need to run.

i'm waiting to see the repsonse regarding these sonic tuning st100's also. I'd like to get the same wheels and am curious about the offset...i've heard that this +48 offset will not look good because the rims will sit too far in...i believe that the hub bore size of 64.1 is correct for our cars so not hub ring needed

18x9 +30... if you dont have brembos of course, if you do then it all depends on the design of the wheel... 245/40-18 tires should be flush

yes but you will need hubcentric rings with a 66.1mm outer and a 64.1mm inner

its hit or miss on the bbk clear may need a 5mm spacer
tires 235/40-18 with minor work
245/40-18 needs fender rolling and neg camber

19x8.5 +30 would be the lowest offset without needed any fender rolling and neg camber 235/35-19 ... offset lower than that you will have to roll and run neg cam accordingly
19x10 +37 would be the lowest offset, 245/35-19 would be the tire without needing to go crazy

Sorry ... you already answered my question, but you said that the 18x9 with +30 also depended on wheel design... the above rims don't have lip on them... will fit over the brembos?

i'd really need to see a picture behind it... the 18x9 +30 may or may not need a 5mm spacer

Question on Brembo/Big Brake Clearance
Transmission : Manual
Year/Trim: 04 Base
Wheel Make/Model:Stern/Yoshi
Wheel Size 20x8.5
Wheel Offset :20

I am looking for the right set up to clear the brembos without sticking out like these Sterns do.
Any idea which wheels will do this???

the offset on those is +20.. +30 and higher would prevent that, BUT then you have to worry about the brembos

If I went higher up on the offset then it's going to hit the brembos. But if I were to go with a 30 something offset and then added a spacer would that work or would I end up sticking out anyway?

Wheel Size: 18x8 OR 18x9
Wheel Offset: +35 OR +41
If lowered: Not yet
Year/Trim: 2006 6MT w/ Brembos

...I'd prefer the 18x8's if they would clear, but would go to the 18x9s if need be. Thanks, man, really appreciate all the help you provide in this thread.

I can get them with 225/40/18, will they fit with no rubbing, or do I need to look at other tires?

Hey happyboy,

Was that directed to me? Yeah I thought they might be a bit small, since those wheels are coming off a civic, and stockies are already 8".

I have a new set in mind.

Wheel Make/Model: XXR 522
Diameter: 18 x 8.5 (front), 18 x 9.5 (rear)
Offset: + 48
Lowered: Stock Height

will these cause any troubles and what size tires should I put on them to have no rubbing or problems that cause accelerated tire wear.

Thanks a lot ^^

Yes, Mangoes it was-I'm not an expert on offset so I have to defer that. Tire size I would vote 255 or 265/35-18s.

Thanks happyboy, I am gonna take a while guess that +48 offset will require 8mm spacers or something, I read through a couple of stillhere's post and seems like other ppl who wants +48 offset setup, he suggested 8mm spacers. Can anyone confirm that? Waiting for the final answer before I jump on the wheels.

Thanks

I have a stock black '06 TL auto. Looking to get:

Wheel: Work Emotion CR Kai
Size: 18x8.5
Offset: 37

I just recently purchased my TL and I am new to wheels also so I have no clue if the size and offset will work, I just know I want to upgrade to 18's and I love the Work Emotion wheels in gunmetal. Please let me know if these will work and if not, what size and offset I should be looking for that will fit. Thanks!

a +30 likely clears the brembos alone... no spacer needed... +35 or higher will probably need a spacer

...I'd prefer the 18x8's if they would clear, but would go to the 18x9s if need be. Thanks, man, really appreciate all the help you provide in this thread.

18x8 +35 should be good

I can get them with 225/40/18, will they fit with no rubbing, or do I need to look at other tires?

Thanks in advance.

I agree, way too narrow

Wheel Make/Model: XXR 522
Diameter: 18 x 8.5 (front), 18 x 9.5 (rear)
Offset: + 48
Lowered: Stock Height

will these cause any troubles and what size tires should I put on them to have no rubbing or problems that cause accelerated tire wear.

Thanks a lot ^^
QUOTE=happyboy;12455169]Yes, Mangoes it was-I'm not an expert on offset so I have to defer that. Tire size I would vote 255 or 265/35-18s.

QUOTE=ilovemangoes;12456106]Thanks happyboy, I am gonna take a while guess that +48 offset will require 8mm spacers or something, I read through a couple of stillhere's post and seems like other ppl who wants +48 offset setup, he suggested 8mm spacers. Can anyone confirm that? Waiting for the final answer before I jump on the wheels.

Thanks
get the offset between +35 and +45
fr tires 245/40-18
rr tires 255/35-18

Please let me know if these will work and if not, what size and offset I should be looking for that will fit. Thanks!

that fits fine

fr 235/35-19 or 245/35-19
rr 245/35-19 or 255/30-19

rr with 255 may need rolling

Those are the wrong specs, the rears are actually + 38, I'm guessing the rears should fit fine. However, I already got + 48 for the front, will those not fit at all? Some members have told me that they would fit but would be hella tucked, I hope it fits and what size tires should I be running with those new specs?

Will these fit without modifications? Will they clear the Bremos? Will these wheels accept TPMS? Also what tires would I need to run? Sorry for all questions thanks for the input in advance.

clears brembo
tpms fit

I ran 245/40-18 with a slightly lower offset, if you are lowered over 1.75" go with 225/40-18, the rear will need to be rolled to tuck 245/40-18 if you have passengers back there and/or are lowered

wait till the wheels arrive

steps for test fitting
1. using a roll of blue painters tape tape over your brake caliper to avoid any accidental scuffs, scratches and any visible damage
2. bring the wheel over laying it ontop of your shins and slide it over, do not put ur finger behind the spoke where the caliper is
3. if it clears, then you are golden, if it doesn't find box of washers, preferably 1mm thick with a center whole big enough to fit your wheel studs
4. place 1 washer in each wheel stud, example 3 1mm washer per wheel stud is the equivalent to a 3mm spacer.... and so on
5. you now know what spacer to purchase

pm me if you need any clarification

Thanks stillhere, your such a great help to the a-zine community! Would you mind helping me pick tire sizes now? I would've pm you back but seems like I'm only allowed 1 message in my PM box . I'm not sure if the previous tire sizes that you recommended will work for me since the offset that you suggest and the ones that I acquired are different.

For reference:

18 x 8.5 + 48 front
18 x 9.5 + 38 rears

Greatlly appreciate the time ur taking to help us noobs here!

After searching I couldn't find a close enough answer for mine, so thanks in advance!

Questions on Wheels
Wheel Make/Model: HFP 19" PDS-10
Wheel Size (**X**): 19x8
Wheel Offset (+**): +55
If lowered (amount): 1.5"

Question on Brembo/Big Brake Clearance
-2004 TL 6Spd BBK with rims above

Will these rims rub with a 15mm spacer added (if it clears brakes will it rub the fender?) That should take care of the offset but not quite sure if you have a formula above and beyond regular offset/rim width calcs. Would prefer running 245's but will run 235's if needed.

Thanks again.

19x9.5 +38 all around

will 19x9.5 +38 with 245/35/19 work for all four corners? I know rears are fine, more concerned with the fronts. Has stock brakes and isnt lowered yet. Thinking of getting megans in near future. thx guys

I have a 07 acura tl type-s (auto). I just purchase some 19X8.5 +35 offset for the front would it cleared the brembo brakes and would you need any spacer for it, if so what is the MM that you would recommend and what tire size?

As for the rear I have some 19X9.5 +35 offset, what do you recommend for tires and if any spacers needed? let me know .....

thanks,
DX
