I bet that by the time you get em...you'll take it to the next level and won't do what I did...

BUT, thank you, mimicking is the highest form of flattery!

PS...you lighting gurus out there...when our oem 7443 bulb is working...does the lower voltage filament (parking light) cut off when the higher voltage (turn signal) kicks in?

I was under the impression that when signaling, the white should turn off and alternate with the amber, not stay running with it.

Thanks.

J.

I'm not tripping brother, just trying to figure out whether or not it's normal that the whites stay on WITH the amber when it's blinking...I have a feeling it's the way it is, but wanted to make sure.

Steven, you are awesome...I wonder if there is a Moderator of the year award?

If so, you got my vote, friend.

LOL...now THAT is fkn funny...
I was honestly trying NOT to be in the shot...I also didn't wanna set off the garage light and forgot to step over it. Also, when I was going to shut off the video I was focused on hitting the STOP button...when I watched it though...I thought the same thing...it looked like I panicked and put my hand over the camera, COPS style!

...just rewatched and realized why...it looks funny cause I ducked before hitting it...I was avoiding my mountain bike that's hanging above me there.

Don't I though?!?

Ha ha...do you know something, when I filmed it I actually thought of you poor souls up North dying with the cold weather thinking...THEY ARE GOING TO BE JELLY!!!!

Ok, I'll lie and say I recorded that in July. Fair enough?

Honestly though, I DO wish I could teleport to that picture above, go for a nice brisk hike thru the wintery woods...there is NO sound like the sound of your own breath, crunch of the snow, and weight of your thoughts out in the woods. It's where I belong, at least partially.

OH, AND almost forgot to mention...if you're like me, I keep a handy amount of double sided tape lying around for various projects...well, I recently ran out and didn't feel like paying $11 for a 5' roll at advance auto...went on amazon and guess what...found the gray with red backing 3M stuff, 1/2" by 15 fkn feet for $6.86 shipped. WTF! How do they even turn a profit on that!?!?

....just kidding...what a fukin deal, right?!?!

PS...rear 20MM spacers back on! Yay! I need to contact Ichiba for some new nuts...I had stripped 2 of them so I have 4 on each side. I'm not worried though, I ran 4 on one side for over a year with no issues.

Thank you sir...yeah, I've gone from walmart specials to the cheap bike shop bikes to the specialized I liked but couldn't afford the one I loved...then, alas, 3 years later this gem appeared on ebay and it was mine.

No sir, there was some SLIGHT modding. Found an eibach 10MM type 1 spacer on ebay so I ordered it. Figured out that I'd have to take my rotor off to get at the longer studs to do it myself (expect a DIY) so I wanted to get at the 2 screws that hold on the rotor ahead of time to see how hard it would be.

Turns out, it's on there VERY hard...no problem...1 impact 1/2" short extension which had enough surface area to sit JUST on the screw head...and my 4 lb sledgehammer...whacked it about 5 times until I got a few solid hits dead on...then makita impact driver reversed with impact philips tip...BAM out. Oh yeah, soaked with WD40 for a bit first...got both out first shot. I put some antiseize on both of them and put em back on for now until the spacers come in. I ran the works at +35 without too much rubbing so that was the most offset I can run with as slammed as I am and the front fender rolled/tab bent and slightly pulled by the tire. Perfect...so with the 8.5" aspecs, I'll be at +25 rear and +35 up front. PERFECT STANCE.

Then I bolted it back up and headed out to Mom's place for Christmas. Baby Guiness to the rescue!...

You should be alright with a +35 up front. I'm not as low as you are but I'm running a +30 front with a 245 tire and I don't rub.

LOL...my bank account does NOT like how I find something to do with the car!

I didn't put the spacer ON...I was preemptively making sure I could remove those 2 screws without a problem! I know...I'm kinda nuts.

Anyway...+35 will work and I had a 235 on the works too and 235 on the aspecs PLUS, I was a 9" rim on the works and 8.5" on the aspecs so it SHOULD be perfect...with the rears looking so flush the fronts look a bit sunken and I can feel it in the handling.

Some of my mods are just cause I want to prove to myself that I can figure something like changing out to extended studs out

OH...and my MRS. Santa got me some great gifts...pearl jam 20 DVD...and upgraded my phone from a 4G Evo which I'll sell on ebay to a friggin Galaxy S2 AND a friggin AMAZING Mityvac which allows you to change oil from above AND bleed brakes and clutch and EVERYTHING in between by yourself using a vaccum line.

Hey, I understand you put in the extended studs but how about the hub ring? You planning anything to do with that so the wheels can still sit on the hub ring?

No, I did not put in the extended studs. All I did yesterday was remove the 2 screws holding the rotor on to make sure I would be able to without a problem.

About the hub...I didn't get knockoff ebay ones I got the eibachs which have a hubring that sits on your oem one and gives you the same 64.1MM hub center.

^^^ they do, but they leave all the metal shavings inside....

i replaced my drain bolt with a magnetic drain bolt and i see little shavings every oil change....(this is reduced with Redline oil) but even thow, these extractors wont take out the metal shavings and hence I said dont use it in the Engine oil and the Tranny fluid....

Those ichiba nuts really suck. I ended up using open ended nuts off my mothers civic instead of the ichiba ones. With the A-Spec rims they worked great, there were no scares about stripping one upon removal.

It is just a suggestion, but different nuts will make your life much easier
