Thank you sir! I know it, I picked her on match.com. That was 4.5 years ago now. Haven't looked back once. I do like the non spoiler look too...I guess we'll see. It's quite a commitment to fill the holes and repaint the whole lid.

^^match.com? nice haha. i'll be on there probably pretty soon.

love the no spoiler. i like the smoked:aspec vs the red:works....i think you should keep them together like that because it levels out the 'modded' look of your car

Thanks Veg...I'm actually probably going to be leaving the Aspecs on for quite a while...I don't feel like spending more money on new 19" tires.

I love how the car looks/drives right now...I have to say. I'm also waiting on my 10MM spacers and longer studs...I'll probably install those next week.

nice nice. i've been literally inches away from buying the ebay 10mm spacers for at least a month...

your car is perfect on the aspecs. i mean i love the works, but being a total Audi fanboy i LOVE a good oem+ car, and you sir have done just that. you and cltotl or w/e his exact name is BOTH have perfect oem+ setups.

ugh. i gotta get off this damn website. lol

Tell me about it, dude...trust me, I've been a sucker for a girl in my previous life...and that won't happen again. I was much more sure of myself this go around and knew what I wanted. So much so that I dropped everyone else the day I met her online. It's been bumpy times here and there but we've grown together and I look forward to spending the rest of my life with her. She gets annoyed with the car thing...but she puts up with it and she DOES get me the tools I ask for etc. She was afraid of guns when she met me, I guess that went out the window now. Ha ha...

Dude...you are the man, thanks for the compliments. I get you...visually, the wheels make the biggest impact to set your car apart from others...but I rarely see aspecs around here locally (unless it's an AZ meet)...I LOVE how they look on the car, always have.

I got SUPER lucky...picked up a set of spacers that were marketed improperly on ebay as only being for civics...they are Eibach's...10MM with studs brand new in box for $55 shipped. Super nice guy too...so I'm waiting to get those...I was going to go with Version 2 spacers but I'd have had to go with 15MM and I don't want to raise the car up at all. 10 will give me +35 up front which is what I was rocking with the 9" WORKS so I know it won't rub (much...). 20MM in the back is +25 total et so that's already pretty flush. Super low, flush and OEM wheels make the car look SUPER nice, especially when rolling. Couple that with the white lights and parking lights and sidemarkers...and I am in LOVE with how smooth my car is right now.

I appreciate the compliments.

Thanks Flip...I agree, man...I was looking at $40 to 50 per set...but knew I wanted to get them for my fiancee too and that's too much to spend. Ebayed "CREE 192 bulb" and found a few from this seller that ended at $19.99 with free shipping. Got them in 2 days.

Those pics from her Accord don't do it enough justice, the TL's position for the reverse lights is better...but hers is auto so I could put it in reverse with the ebrake pulled and take the pictures. I couldn't do that on mine since I'm stick.

look what you did J LOL....

i can only related to it....my girl usually sits by me when i do anything to the car and she helps me by passing the tools and such....i was trying to install the Supercomputer pedals and cudnt get the screw on the ACC pedal....and she was like, i have skinnier hands, lemme try.....and she installed the pedal that was like an instant boner

but yeah i wish both of you a ton of luck and hope you guys can make it thro in this journey, called LIFE

Thanks a bunch Swoosh...I wish you the same, my friend.
Veg, I don't think the reverse lights work when only in ACC...but I will give it a shot.

I hear ya, Veg...my driveway backs up to the side of my neighbor's house so it's dark...I can actually see the reflection of my car backing out in his living room window.

DJbonsu, thank you, man...I appreciate the compliment very much. I have to admit, I am pretty in love with it...it's always a work in progress but I'm glad I'm going in the right direction!

I may have to go and Ebay some for the Wife's car. Time to start working on her's as well. I couldn't justify spending 40 bucks on some LEDs

no way dude...honestly, my first go around with led's was from Vleds and they were kinda weak. The new technology is out there and pretty affordable. My interiors are some boards from HK and they were only $6 shipped. Can't complain there and going strong after a year and a half.

^^^ its called demand and supply bro....

I remember getting LED's from superbrightleds around 4 years ago for $1.5 bucks a pop....the same thing sells for $4 now....from the same website LOL....

i just cant justify paying $200 for a full interior led conversion when i did mine for less than $20 shipped....

Yea I had those boards in my TL, I wish I remember the place I got them from on Ebay so I can do it to my 6. I had those in the TL for 2.5 years and no problems what so ever.

Yea 200 is crazy, you know how many mods I could do for 200 bucks. My wife would kill me if I spent 200 bucks on some damn LED's that might blow out in a year.

SN: I;m on ebay right now think I found some for 19.99 w/ free shipping 921 3W White Cree LED

then there are some more for 28 that are 7W.

I totally agree...
My courtesy lights in my doors shorted out so I put carbon fiber wrap on them...my mirror lights were not making good contact with the led's so I reverted...and my 4 interior lights ran me $24 shipped and are SUPER bright...so no going back for me. I agree...wouldn't pay that much for the upgrade.

So, did you place any orders?!?!
I stopped by home depot after work yesterday for a dozen washers and a nut to hammer my oem studs out. Planning on putting the V1 ichiba spacer I got in the mail on tuesday on this weekend. ONLY thing I'm waiting on is whether or not Brakemotive will budge on price for a set of front/rear crossdrilled/slotted rotors.

I don't want to spend $200!

My rotors have been on for 80K miles now....and not showing any sign of wear....they are Powerslot slotted rotors....the pads are Hawk HPS....rear pads have been going since 80K miles and the front i replaced 40K miles back and they had a ton of life left in em....

Interesting to have other options! I'll probably stick with my ceramics, I'm really happy with the lack of dusting and stopping power and the fact that they are lifetime wear replacement.

Hey bud,

Can you elaborate why you need a nut and some washers to hammer out the stud?

I am going to be doing longer wheel studs soon as well. Studded wheel spacers are no longer an option for me with these agressive wheels. I only need a 8mm spacer, and anything more will cause crazy cutting (even with rolled fenders)

However, there does *seem* to be a potential problem. The thread below was originally started by Opel, but "Innacurate" had then posted that by cutting the dust shield it may give you more room. However, Innacurate makes no mention on if a (slightly) LONGER stud may/may not work. I am wondering if by simply removing the shield, any clearance issues with the spindle can totally be averted..... LMK your thoughts:

Uh OHHHH...I was hoping I wouldn't run into any issues.

Well, I was youtubing it and it said if you want to preserve your old studs, you are going to want the nut so you can hammer than INSTEAD of the stud itself. I know it won't be hard to pop loose. Then, the washers allow you to stack them to use as leverage along with your impact hammer to pull the new longer stud into place. I have to check out that thread when I get home...if the dustshield is in the way, I'll have no problem cutting out a little square to be able to put the longer stud more easily though.

About the rotors...those Adams' are gorgeous...but looks like he caters more to the german crowd. I LOVE the custom shapes you can have him cut into it though, that's cool. I may stay OEM...

And yes swoosh...totally Autozone...the ONLY one that covers WEAR on replacement too. I'm on my 3rd rear set for my fiance's 08 accord coupe...17K miles every time is all they get.

J.
