Thanks for the suggestion, bud...
I was thinking about painting the chrome diffuser strip in blue too...but I am fairly certain I would cross the line with trying to match the color too much.
You can't see that well from the photos but my lugs and valve stems are all the same exact blue. I painted test strips to figure out the best way for my brake calipers too and they will soon be painted to match. Taking my time and soaking it all in before making moves...

FUCKING SICK !!!

the blue rings look hot....

btw when you installed the Manifold back you tightened the bolts back in the specified order right ? if not you will hear some air seeping out from time to time....Let me try to located that and will post the link here....

the pic with the manifold off, I was like did J install an MDX spacer ....I kinda got happy LOL....but even with the P2R thermal gasket you will see the temperature of the TB going wayyy low when it was before....

btw if we ever meet....remind me not to park my car next to yours

passed the 15 minute edit window....anyway here is the link....its on a 2G but same process

https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-1999-2003-98/diy-thermoblok-spacers-install-egr-cleaning-615644/

Swoosh...yes sir...Well, I did my own variation on that tightening...I've been doing mechanics long enough to KNOW you'll end up not torquing down properly if you don't do a cross pattern on lugs and bolts etc. But thank you! I also know that I once tried to use my 3/8" torque wrench to tighten down 18 ft/lb and ended up snapping the bolt off because it still has too much torque...so I just ended up hitting all of them until they were tight with my torque gun...it's a cordless so it maxes out at 100 ft/lb and I just did it in the star pattern about 2 or 3 times on each bolt until the hammer hit for about a second. I checked with my hand it was the equivalent to a 2 finger tightened with a ratchet. About the MDX spacer...no way in hell am I going to cut my hood or raise it up in the back!!! ha ha...just not my style. But thanks...
and PS, park next to me all day...trust me, in person...there are a LOT of imperfections...some might not see em, but I SEE EVERYTHING!

Veggie...you sir, are the bomb and guess who has a new wallpaper? This guy right here!

Thanks for the compliments fellas, wasn't sure if the blue would be well received but so far so good.

i want to have exactly what you do J, but with a gloss white ring. i would pay money for that...that says a lot with how cheap i am

i've never even thought about DIY'ing headlights though. the whole baking, sealing, everything else just sounds like something i would ruin.

Thanks everyone...
Veggie, a year ago I would have told you no friggin way am I baking my headlights. once you do it, you'll realize what and how to do it without messing ANYTHING up. You could send to JNC, but I'm cheap too...and that's what pushed me to give it a go myself.

Swoosh, I'd be honored if you followed suit...you know that.

I'll have to look it up...I want to see. Was texting with Brian about this weekend coming. I'm going to squeeze in coming by and lending a hand hopefully Friday night for a little and Saturday morning. You going to be around?

PS...just installed my rear camber arms...pretty easy install. Still need to get tires and an alignment soon.

^^^ yes they do....

the newly opened firestones have an underground rack so even the slammed cars can drive on it without an issue and they do a great job....

CAUTION: Firestone's with an old alignment rack SUCK !!! it took them 45 minutes to get it up the rack.....and scraped it couple places....go the couple firestones and see the alignment rack....if its underground, your GOLDEN !!!

^ Firestone sucks period. Find a good alignment shop and do it right. I am running -1.8 up front and -3 in the rear and there is hardly any wear on the insides of my tires.

i need better quality ones too. that picture would work so much better as your wallpaper if i had a 2k+ pixel picture instead of 800. (speaking to J)

JnC is a user right? i don't want to bug him with a quote as i really have no intention of doing business...do you guys know a ball park figure?

Tlove it: Thanks a lot, man. I try! It isn't mint...but I try and keep the illusion alive I will say that it's not bad for an 8 year old car.

Swoosh: PM me your email and I'll hit you with some hi res pics from the newest batch...since I know you love the blue and black theme. I'm honored btw.

VM: You got it bud...will send em when I get home. Yes, JNC is a member that does lights...I think if you give him yours...labor alone is $150 for a basic clearing or blackout...if you add diffusers and carbon fiber etc...it goes up...the led angel eyes are friggin $250 or more (color changing ones). I opted to do the ZKW replica lenses too, for a sharper cutoff.

Trust me, you're a smart guy...read some of the DIY's and follow them and you will be AMAZED at how easy it is.

oh really....because i really really want to do something with the cutoff on mine...do you have a comparison? the audi was crisp as shit, even for original '02 crap. the TL lights area ll fuzzy, even my brand new drivers side which has no plastic pitting. that was another reason i wanted to do something, though idk what. the pass side looks like its glazed. turbil.

Yes, I actually had a headlight DIY thread at one point...gotta look for it. I showed the difference with how it looked with the new ZKW-R lenses... it might even be earlier in this thread.

No sir, no need to upgrade either of those things...although I changed my low bulbs to 6000K to match my fogs...technically you get more useable light from the oem ones though, which are 4300K.

here's the ones that i didn't touch

these are all 'original' quality. other than being compressed a few times.

J, i'll be thinking for a bit about how to do these. do you have any idea's for something cool? i could make them look like the other pictures i did or try something completely different? i'm not feeling very creative today.
